Psalm 69
I am drowning fast, God.
I am sinking
with no ledge to grab on to.
I keep shouting,
and no one seems to hear me.
I strain to find you,
and I am blinded by your absence.
It seems I am alone
with only those who hate me.
They keep accusing me
of things I have not done.
God, you know me,
you know the truth.
They attack me because
I believe in you.
I have lost friends
because of my faith in you.
Believing in you
has had its cost and taken its toll.
All I seem to have is ridicule from them all.
I am teased;
they make fun of me.
Send your help, hear me.
I am praying to you.
Take my arms,
I will hang on tight
and look into your eyes
as you lift me up.
What are you waiting for?
Now is the time,
you know what I am feeling,
I feel embarrassed-
and they are taking advantage.
I feel sick.
Heal me, God,
heal me.
I will then thank you
with all my heart.
You free all who suffer.
You give us new hope when we're hopeless,
food when we hunger,
and freedom when we feel the chains.
I praise you, God!

Please help me.

I do not understand why people
want me to fail.
I am reaching out to you

I am poor and empty.
