Yes photos can make the person look a bit different than real life,light,settings,angle,I personally find that I look diferent than in my photos,some time ago I found on the internet a pic of this girl I used to work with and this pic makes no justice to her at all.

I think I photograph really horribly, I don't mind myself on video or in the mirror as much, it's just stills that really think look off to me. It's not that it doesn't look like me it just catches me at like one moment in time and a lot of moments are not good :: Especially posed or staged, I can't make myself look natural for a picture.
