Anyone think that they are the worst employee?

Anyone think that they are the worst employee just because of shyness. At work I'm guessing people think I'm dumb or don't know anything or have any people skills because of my anxiety. On top of all that, I sometimes feel worthless and absolutely not motivated in going to work which also doesn't help one bit. I just sometimes feel slow and make mistakes easily too.

Without sounding arrogant i think i am a good worker, my job does not involve much social interaction so i have no problem with it.

In the past I have thought I was the worst employee in the world. I was a server's assistant in a restaurant and I was always so nervous and quiet and ackward. I tried really hard, but there were a few times when I had managers look at me oddly or just blatantly laugh when I did something ackward. My primary duty was to basically walk around the restaurant and clean tables. But it was always either too busy which meant I was rushed as people poured into the restaurant with noisy children and impatient glares, or it wasn't busy enough which meant I had to walk around the restaurant tirelessly looking for something do. It was just 5-8 hours of pure nervousness, inhaling secondhand smoke at the bar, and trying to make small talk with my co-workers who were friendly enough...for the first month or so. Soon there were other server's assistants added and they treated me like dirt half the time, especially one in particular. It got to the point where I would hide in the bathroom for a few minutes just to get myself together and try to remind myself that I wasn't a bad employee. No one seemed to notice my ritual for a while. It was sort of embaressing when they did.

I've actually been working for almost a month after 12 days of training and I'm the best out of those who were in training with me, despite my anxiety and everything related to it.

Ya i i all ways feel like this. I'm a cashier at a lab-laws and my SA adds to my stress because I'm dealing with people for my whole shift. Because i have to do like 3 things at once while keeping people waiting, the job is all about timing and getting people out as fast as possible, a lot of pressure. I have done some REALLY dumb things because of it. For example on a busy day a customer asked for cash back from their debit card and i typed in the amount but i hit the cash button instead of the debit button and this customer pretended to swipe their card and type in their code. They ended up walking out of the store with 200$ in cash and 150$ worth of groceries. When my supervisor (the nice one) told me i was so ashamed. I don't see how im not fired because of that.

I am not too good at dealing with people, I sometimes come across as abrupt and rude. It's not intentional, just shyness. I don't think I am the worst though, only because there are some people from different cultures who don't fit in.

There are others at work who are brilliant at dealing with people. They can just start talking to someone they've never met before, and still be talking half an hour later. You either have it or you don't.

As far as using your brain goes, I leave everyone else for dead. I'm multiple levels above them and they know it. I suppose it works, my strengths cover their weaknesses, and vice versa.
