Okay, this poem was said to me in a dream last night by a most brilliant online friend of mine, that I care a great deal for. I take no credit for it lol. I can't take credit for a dream or for words not spoken by me hehe. Though I'll let my sub-conscious take credit for it lol:
He brushes her hair from her face, she stands, silently gazing at his eyes.
The deep, darkness surrounds them both, bringing truth instead of lies.
In quietude he takes her hands,
Slowly bows, places a kiss, then stands.
In whispered tone, as he hugs her tight
"I love you. You are my light."
He hopes to hear his words returned
But knows that fear, her mind has burned.
She stands there still, looking at him.
Though the light is but dim
He senses a smile upon her face.
A flame of hope flickers for all human race.
