Zoloft

Anybody here tried Zoloft?

Paxil/Aropax absolutely sucked, mind you I just quit it cold turkey...stupid me, it was like I had terrible flu for 2 weeks, black spots, so light sensitive I had to wear sunglassess at night with just a 25watt bulb on.

Cipramil makes me sleepy.

Fluoxetine/prozac is okay, helps irritability and depression.

hi there. Well i started taking zoloft about 7 weeks ago. I am still on it and although it takes about 4-5 weeks to actualy start working, it seems to be working pretty well. I have had less anxiety attacks and when i do have them its less severe. Not all medication works for everyone. What works for me may not work for you. It is also said that these kinds of medicine work best while going to therepy or cognitive behavioral therepy. I am taking both the medicine and going to therepy. Im not cured 100% but this medicine has helped me to get a little bit better. I hope this advice helps you. Take Care and let me kno how you are doing

I've been taking Zoloft for about 2 months now and it has helped me a lot. Like Mickey said though, it varies from person to person. My depression has completely been alleviated and my anxiey is slowly getting better. I want to get out and do things more now. This is big for me because I pretty much stayed in my room for 3 months straight. I hope you find something that works for you. Therapy is also very key.

I started taking Zoloft and Geodon approximately 3 weeks ago. The drugs have had little effect as of yet. I am hoping after a couple more weeks, things will look up. I will post again later to provide my experience...

I had a few drinks over the weekend one night, and I did not feel well at all. I contributed it mostly to the Zoloft. However, I had a few drinks last night as well, and I felt completely fine. I may be getting used to the Zoloft, or it may be completely unrelated. I can't tell for sure...

I hope you meant get out of your current situation jajdude - there are plenty of things to live for! Teaching is a very noble profession!

Like other's ay, I think it varies on different people, personally Zoloft did nothing for me, I also tried Paxill, Buspar, Effexorin, Prozac, Cepachol, and St. John's Wort (some of those maybe spelled wrong) None so far have worked on me, although I did seem to get all the side effects, yahoo!

That's exactly the same for me. Zoloft didn't work at all, but Paxil did. It kinda worked too well though, it made me ansy and hyper. Now I don't take anything.

Think I've Finally Found the Right Combo

Hi...Zoloft didn't help my anxiety much, Paxil made me feel sick, insomnia, anxiety, etc, Wellbutrin made me irritable, Effexor was great but I got a weird side effect from it(kidney pain),...Serzone was surprisingly effective for me, plus Buspar and Propranolol. I took that combo for three years, and it helped me deal with anxiety, although I had irritability especially in the morning and the sweating thing sometimes still happened. Now, I've switched to Remeron and that's even working better! This combo of Remeron 30 mg and low doses of Buspar and Propranolol has been the best by far for me... initially I was knocked out at night by the Remeron, but I can deal with that...anyway that side effect has gone away. I'm sticking with this combo as long as it keeps working so well.

Anyone else feel strongly about Remeron? I'm intrigued.

With Zoloft, I also noticed increased tiredness, which for me was wonderful. I have had trouble sleeping since childhood, which I attribute in part to a hyperactive mind. With Zoloft I got a full night's sleep. I noticed the med was very effective in combating depression and other conditions attributed to low serotonin levels. However, it did not have a marked effect on my anxiety in the three months that I took it (note: I was not on the highest doseage for all three months but was gradually ramping upwards). Zoloft had less side effects than Paxil, but Paxil helped calm my anxiety more. Maybe I did not give Zoloft a fair shot...
