My sister is having a baby. She doesn't know the sex yet, but is pretty sure it'll be a boy just by the way she is carrying- and the frequency of the heartbeat.
(of course... there's always room for error)

ANYWAY-- what are some of your favourite names?
Just in general-- even if you've never thought about children or don't want any; have there ever been people you've met or heard of and just from the name, you thought; 'they must be pretty swell!'.

I really like 20's flapper names like Birdy, Lulu, Trixie, Ruby and Nettie.
That may have to do with my liking of mineral/stone names as well... like, Jade, Garnet (Nettie), Ruby (again- haha), Mica and Jet.
I also like mysterious sounding names like; Tanis, Brier, Willow, Kain, Raven, Luna, Calamity, Dare and Logan.
...I hate to admit it but if I were to have a child, I'm pretty sure people would assume that I was a hippie. Then again, I kindof am, more or less.

What names do you like?

For some reason Jennifer is a nice name to me.

Also I genuinely like the name Michael, so I'm glad my parents called me that. :)

I was pregnant a few years back and ended up with a miscarriage but her name was going to be Dylan Michaela. I am in love with that name for some reason.

For a boy, I'm still in love with my son's name...Devon. I think it's adorable :)

I've always liked the name Ellie, maybe short for Eleanor or or Elizabeth. And girls names ending in vowel sounds in general, especially -y.

For a girl, I like Gemma, which is a name that doesn't exist here.

I also like the name Imogen, but it only sounds good in English. If your kid has that name and you live in a French-speaking place like I do, she's gonna get laughed at.
