Your best date?

Hey,

Well, as the title suggests I was just wondering what your best dates were like? Where did you go, was it planned or did it just fall into place etc..

I'll start it off - It was when I was 14, before I started being so socially awkward. I asked the girl I liked out on a date and planned on taking her to the cinema, I booked the tickets in advance. It was winter at the time so I knew it would be cold and would get dark early so I chose a movie that would end before starbucks closed.

After the movie I told her we should go for a walk, a walk which I had planned anyway. We went to starbucks where I bought us both hot chocolate, we then continued our walk to the docks (I live in Liverpool UK.) The docks are a beautiful place of a night, quite romantic if you wish. This certainly seemed to win her over as we laughed and joked as we walked down the docks drinking our hot chocolate.

Ended our walk along the docks with a kiss and after that I walked her to her bus stop and didn't sleep properly that night. I couldn't stop thinking about how perfectly everything had fallen into place.

Despite how cheesy it sounds, it truly was amazing.. I actually felt happy and confident!

Best date I ever had....
It wasn't anything fancy, I packed a cooler full of fruit, cheese, crackers, sausage, etc...
Drove her down to a lake, and we swam until it started getting dark. Then we sat on the tailgate of my truck, ate, and talked. By the time we left is was early morning.

It was lovely.

After a very stressful period of not seeing eachother for 3 weeks, although we lived together-- my boyfriend had come home unexpectedly and I had an evening off, so he suggested a drive.
We went to the edge of the city; to a walking park by a river that we'd driven past before and put a sleeping bag down on the grass.
Shared a can of fruit cocktail, wrote poetry and fell asleep.
By the time we woke up, it was pitch black out and we couldn't see the car-- so we had to fumble through the tall grass; hoping not to step on any snakes or other small animals and HE ended up falling into the river.
My eyes adjusted and I went into the river to pull him out and lead him back to the car.
I'll stop there, though-- to keep this story G rated.

You missed the best part! ::p:

I don't know if this was a date, per se, but it's one of the few that'll stick with me.

In 2009, my female friend and I drove out to this lookout/beach area. We were armed with blankets, music, and alcohol. Our plan was to go there, drink heavily, and fall asleep in our cars. Cops came around but luckily they didn't get out of their cars to check on us, otherwise we would've been busted for having alcohol in a vehicle. We ended up going for a walk to the beach, where we ended up kissing, then we came back to our cars, and fell asleep. One of the best "dates" I've had.

That's a tough one. I'd have to say April 25th. Because it's not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket.

Really thinking about it, my best date was actually over the course of a couple days. I had been talking to someone from another forum for months and we finally met up. We went to Disneyland and just hung out for the weekend I was there. Our connection was amazing and awesome and we talked the entire day without problems.

Those kind of people are hard to find.

Well my mom gave me a date to eat, that's about the closest I ever been to a romantic date. I feel in love with the taste

I'm sorry.
Same here btw, apparently I'm too lame to be liked by anyone haha.

That seems almost impossible to believe. So many guys are missing out.

You know I am pretty sure that if people actually gave other people just a little bit more of a chance to show who they really are - then nearly everyone would have a chance for companionship - with romantic intent or otherwise. There are some great people here - it seems that no one has the inclination to give the benefit of doubt. It's so sad.

I'd say it was one with my first serious boyfriend. He took me on a fancy date to the San Francisco Yacht Club (his parents were members so that's how we got in!). I was young, it was the '80's and a time of "excess", and it was something I'd never before experienced - all that glitz and glamour - so "Dynasty-like"! After a fabulous multi-course dinner, we went down to the beach and...;)

It would have to be the one that wasn't supposed to be a date, just a guy and a girl going to the mall and riding around just to get away for a while. Wound up holding hands and then kissing, then driving some more, then found a deserted spot on the lake to sit and...um... talk.... Then took her back to her car and kissed more ;) then done it all over again the next night. She was my best friend, and mere months later she became my wife. Still seems like we're high schoolers sometimes.
