for a while now I have thought I had a more than normal sweating problem. Everyday i deal with it, I only wear dark colors so I don't get a pit stain. It seems that no matter where i go i always end up having my armpit area drenched in sweat. It seems like I have been like this for a long as I can remember. It almost rules my life. I worry about it. I also wonder that maybe I have a social anxiety and that has something to do with it. So, what steps should I take to try resolve this? Should I talk to my dermatologist or my regular care doctor?

hi corrine
i had a similar problem before. My hands used to sweat and i tended to choose dark clothes. there are lotions you can buy from boots to stop excess perspiration. these helped but then made my hands so dry they cracked a bit. so i figured id rather have my hands wet. u can also have injection. I wouldnt want to do this however.

white clothes might not show up cos they are real light. Nowadays i wear what i want and dont care. it doesnt bother me anymore and this means i sweat less. also i have laughed previously with my friends and family and told them i just produce a lot of water. plus mum and others tell me i have the softest hands- the secret must be the excess water, a plus! i accept it.

Try Robinul 1 or 2mg pills depending on how severe it is. I had palmar HH all my life ( I am 40 now). I have been taking 2mg twice a day for the last 2 years, and it changed my life for ever! A little dry mouth, but that's it, nothing I couldn't tolerate. It's also covered by insurance so give it a try and GOOD LUCK!
