Performed at open mic one of my poems...about what ? my shyness. I used to think the expression my hands and knees were shaking was just an expression, but it turned out to be one of the best experiences in my life...and since then ive done it two more times :)

Skating of a escalator, omg.. without the stairs thingies, It was like 5 or 6 metres high, I was crazy doing something like that my skateboard friends were talking about who is not afraid to do that and i wanted to do it.. real stupid:p I wouldn't say it's brave, just wanted to try it, and I will never do it again ::p:.

Singing on the stage for thousands of people, it was my first time on stage and I sang for a whole crowd, I was 13 years old. :)

Auditioning for Idols/X factor, I didn't make it through the next round, but I had a great day :D, I even sang outside when I didn't made through and the camera man told me I'm very good and he thought I made it, and the people outside aplauded !! i was happy people liked it outside but in the auditioning room they told me I am too young and I should come again later and maybe I cannot handle the whole social media, but i have to keep singing. and I told my dreams in front of the camera. ^^ and I comforted a girl in the waiting line, she was crying, so afraid of going in the room and sing for the jury, sadly she didn't make it through too. I heard she was a great singer, awsholes-_-

I once saved my little brother, he was lost and my parents were so afraid, and I found him walking at the traffic, he was about to walk on the road and I was just on time!!

Question for people who say they can't swim... I've never understood that because I just thought it came natural to at least doggy paddle in water. When people say they can't swim does that mean you can't do the breaststroke or does that mean you couldn't even doggy paddle?
^ I can doggy paddle, but that's it. I can't even do a breaststroke.

Some great stories of bravery in this thread. It's like an episode of Thrillseeker with Chuck Norris.

I rebuilt my knee by doing hours and hours of physio everyday. It took me three years, I taped my knee everyday over tha time. I'm not sure it was bravery or just patience.

Some more things I've done that I now think were courageous that I usually forget about in my quest to always see the bad side of things:

1. Went to college alone 3000 miles from home at 18.
2. Got my driver's license at 22.
3. Went to India a couple years ago.

Keep in mind, I was absolutely terrified for each of these.

I once stopped a friend of mine from committing suicide by wresting the knife from his hands and subduing him until he calmed.

I have also had to kill two of my pets which is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. (I raise chinchillas and one got really sick another one was mauled by a cat when it managed to escape from its cage)

Grabbed a roach all by myself.
If you understood my fear of roaches you would then understand how big a deal this was for me.

I do "courageous" things all the time because I'm pretty much afraid of everything.

Oh! I immediately got back on a horse after it threw me off. I guess that's sort of courageous. Also went back to playing soccer for a year after a girl snapped my leg in half (well.. just the bone) during a game.

1. Went to the UK all by myself just as I turned 18. And I met a very special boy there, who became my boyfriend after one day. HOW ON EARTH DID I MANAGE TO DO THIS?!?!?!

2. Traveled over 10 hours to get to the big city where I had never been before - by myself. To see a concert and then I met a few of the band members afterwards :D

3. Attending a party. It was a Halloween party so I could hide my face a bit with lots of make up and stuff, but still..

4. When I was 16 and attended school again after a whole year off because of SA and depressions.

I rode a green-broke (hardly trained) horse into a pen of 15 or so bulls. That was scary fun I tell ya!

There's no way I would ever have the courage to get on a horse. When I was really young we went to a fourth of july party at a local horse stable my sister volunteered at. They let the little kids ride on the horses as adults led them slowly around in a circle. The horse I was on got spooked and bucked in the air, and here I am 4yrs old just hanging by the reigns holding on for dear life. Needless to say, I won't ever be getting on a horse again.

I have this tendency of running into people who are in trouble and need help.
I always try to help them even though it puts me into an often dangerous and uncomfortable place.

Is that courageous?
Doesn't really feel like it is to me because it's in my nature- not something that I could not do if I tried.
