In the end, whether you meet the right person or not, is to some degree just luck. Maybe if you'd have talked to that coworker for another five minutes... maybe if you'd have missed that bus, then you'd have met the perfect person in the next one? Who knows. Sure, there is for everyone the right person out there, which is no surprise, with a population of seven billion on the planet. But meeting that person... you can influence that of course, increase the chances, but if you have bad luck, then you can do anything you want, and will still have no partner for the rest of your life. *shrugs*

I'm myself looking for a nerd-geek type of person. Intelligent, reading a lot, atheist, likes board games, enjoys music at least remotely related to the gothic/medieval scene. Since those women are quite intelligent though, they are normally quite good in finding a partner, which reduces the chances to find such a person a lot. *shrugs* Well, if it happens: nice. If it doesn't: I'll just get a cat.

I would like to be with someone who's an introvert, yet more outgoing than me. Someone with a natural confidence to complement my indecisiveness.

Other characteristics I value: intelligence, rationalism, honesty and respect.

For a successfull longterm relationship being nonreligious is a must as well as largerly sharing the same political views.

Those are really tight restrictions, but I would serve up to them

::eek:: Do you think so? Oops I don't mean to be picky though. :S But those are really values I myself try to live by, so I would like to be with someone like minded.

General sweetness, reasonably intelligent, with a bit of a fun streak with the right person. I don't believe in getting very specific, because everyone is their own blend, and there are any number of things that could make someone attractive despite being "this" or "that". Needing something very specific seems almost shallow in its rigidity and lack of evaluation of the person as an individual.

But maybe that's a passing thought. I can't tell yet.

The idea of getting married seems so foreign to me!

I guess I would love a very intelligent woman with a soft heart and a strong character. Someone who would stimulate me emotionally and intelectually, would stand up to me when it was need it but that would also soothe me when it was aproppiate.

A man can dream, I guess.

I think what's best for me would be a girl who's low-maintenance, chatty but not in a superficial way, and intellectually curious. A lot of it is flexible.

I do think it's important to remain open minded and flexible. But, it would be nice if she was Faithful, kind hearted, sweet, and playful.

I want someone who is in love with me. Someone that I actually make happy (what a thought!) and someone who understands me. :)
