Sorry, it was difficult enoguh to choose just 10, I couldn't reduce it to 5:D

I am sorry it seems to me impossible to choose only 10. I am not modest here because I like them nearly all & think they are generally important. It would seem to me more sensible to weed out those which are NOT very important to me.

:) Agreed, it was hard enough for me to reduce to 10. I've edited it to sound more flexible. Weeding out the non-important ones is probably the best way to do it and is interesting in itself.

edit:Oh, I must of skipped over uniqueness, definitely that one.

  • It's not about being the best, it's about being your best. Life is no competition despite the fact that so many regard it as such.
  • Beauty is freedom and freedom is beauty - the freedom to be exactly who you are without fearing the disapproval of others. We function best when we are most comfortable in ourselves, like a good pair of shoes. We may wish for heels because they look the flashiest but we'll get far more done if we wear a comfortable pair of plimsolls. Hence, being comfortable with ourselves should be one of our main priorities in life. It may not be easy, but it's something we can all aim for.
  • The better you geuinely feel about others, the better you feel about yourself.

I like twiggle's short list of values. 3 very important things that I also believe in. So with that in mind, I'm not really going by the rules for the post either. But I have a list of values written down and here they are. I actually haven't looked at them much recently but I used to change them quite a bit. Maybe I should go through them again and reprioritize since I haven't in awhile.

Social
- Accept myself as I am
- Be content with what I have
- Respect all people and care about them
- Connect with people and improve socially
- Believe in myself and be confident
- Enjoy the journey and be present
- Feel useful and part of a team

Personal
- Have a clear purpose
- Achieve flow by doing things I enjoy
- Think positive and be optimistic
- Simplify to what's important
- Focus on one thing at a time
- Start small and take the first step
- Create habits to reach goals

Integrity
Compassion

Probably the best two on that list.
Especially integrity.

I admire people who are honest with tact and people who use common sense and compassion as opposed to just being told what to do.

I also like people who can admit they are wrong and no how to apologize without seeing it as a threat to their ego.

I would really suck as a cop or a soldier.
