Crappy thing about that game is, chances are the people you meet arent going to be on YOUR server so you cant actually play with them.

You can always transfer servers!
I used to play but gave it up. I wasn't very social in it and kept drifting from guild to guild not making many friends despite playing it a lot I never did much/any end game raiding, I went to Kara a few times but no MC or anything, I kept changing my characters too much and went off instances when people were horrible to me, but I gave instances another go in TBC. I did once find a small friendly guild but it broke up after a few weeks so we couldn't go to Kara but I stayed with it because there were some nice people left.

Stupid thing is since I stopped playing Ive been more depressed and OCD than when I was playing although I didn't like being addicted to it, which I probably was at least it gave me something to do, now I'm bored a lot!

My brother is freaking addicted to that game, i swear to god he hogs the computer all day and night. I can barely come on the internet and check SP world anymore. Everyone in the family is freaking pissed at him like hell. There's not much we can do since he is the oldest and if we argue at him there is a chance that hell will break loose.

My brothers are exactly the same way- although I don't live with them, I know my mom can only get on the computer when one is sleeping and the other is working during the day. Especially the younger brother, I swear all he does is eat sleep and WoW. There was even a time I was visiting and I was hanging out with their friend more because he gets bored with WoW pretty quickly, and gets ticked when my brothers won't pull themselves away from it.

I played for three years. While I had some of my greatest times in the game with people I met and vent chats...I had gained a lot of weight, never got out, lost some friends, became less real world social, became agitated when not playing the game...basically I didn't want to do anything else but play it all day long. So now i've been working for the past few years to undo that as well as other problems.

I get urges to go back...but I doubt I ever will.

I don't play but everyone I know who does has been destroyed by it. It has affected their health, education, relationship with parents etc.

Has anyone seen the South Park episode where they spoof this game? I recommend that you all watch it before deciding to start your guild. It just may save your life. lol

I played WoW for a couple of months and really liked it though I just got fed up with all the immature 15 year olds whining and complaining about not getting a drop they wanted or losing the greed and need draw. There's just too many things about WoW that make it boring and tiring to play, but a decent game. MMO's are just like that...at least the ones that I've played.

I play LOTRO with the MOM expansion, a mch more mature kind of game, more players in there 20's and 30's, less 10 year old WOWclone types, the game gets better and better with each add on
