Hey guys, I've thought about posting this thread long and hard as I couldn't decide whether anyone would want to give up there 'safe place' for people to see or whether it would be just to personel. As you can see I decided to give it a go.

So here is the place in my secret little world.

that looks so cosy, all in a little corner :3 I've always wanted an L shaped desk myself hehe.

When I read 'safe haven' = 'safe', I thought 'Fortress of Solitude'?
... but that works, too!
The Batcave has come a long way since we were kids
So high tech, now!

Current project:- Safe Haven for my daughter. She wants it as her art room. It was a childs wendy house and an 8' x 6' shed. I butchered them both and put in double glazing. Just need to finish the inside and put in some electric.

Can you tell what I do when I'm stressed?

wee! Good idea, DoA!
That is so fun!
If I had a space like that, even now-- I'd be completely thrilled.
I'm sure she'll make good use of it once it's been completed!

My daughter loves cows, she collects cuddly ones so the pic was for her

She is my only reason. As a teen I put off the inevitable through fear of the unknown, as an adult the fear is still there but without her I would not be.:)

Giant%20Oak%20Tree,%20North%20Tisbury%201969.jpg

When I was younger, there was a tree about 1km out in the bush that I'd found while taking a shortcut into town one day.
A big old oak tree.
I felt like I had to climb it- so I did; and I would frequently go there when I was upset or lonely, sometimes even in the middle of the night.
I would just climb into the tree and lay on one of it's wider branches and look up into the leaves and the sky.
That place was a safe haven for me.

The tree was probably cut down 2 years ago, since the new highway was being put in in that area... I haven't been back to look at it though because I hate my hometown. haha
