Why do people hate me for my music choice?

If you like instrumental stuff, check out the "Vitamin String Quartet". They did an awesome cover of a Sum41 album and other stuff too.

Some people just need something to feel pompous about, and in lieu of any actual accomplishment on their behalf or shortcoming on someone else's they turn to meaningless things like taste in music.

Why do people hate you for your music choices? Because people always find a reason to hate on someone/something, no matter how idiotic the reason is.

I can assure you, though, not everyone is like this.

I like all kinds of music from big band stuff 40s 50s 60s 70s 80s 90s 2000s and on. Nothing wrong with having diffren;t tasts in things.

Because the people around you don't have the same music taste as you, for them anything that is different from what is supposed to be normal music, is weird. I like metal and most people around me don't, and they instantly label my music as bad/evil. Very few people around here where I live have the same taste in music as I do so I get the feeling too. I sometimes listen to music without words too, some movies have amazing soundtracks I like to listen to.

I get mocked a little for my love of metal too, I play my ipod at work and if its a song with lots of brees or elongated words Ill change it sometimes to not hear people mocking it.
I also love a little rap and have a lot of game soundtracks, now I dont change to those cause people will have to make some comment about why Im listening to that music instead

Yeah, sometimes I just turn music off when someone else is in the car or something because I don't like being mocked. Good on you for still being able to play your iPod at work with metal on it. Do you get a lot of comments about it or just passing passive-aggressiveness?

you really shouldn't care. People that hate just because of your music taste really aren't worth knowing.
These are the sort of small minded buffoons you should avoid in life.
