Who here is left handed?

You know, in my country teachers used to beat up left-handed students in the past because they had this crazy belief that the left hand was the hand of the devil or something like that lol... I have an uncle who does everything with his left hand and writing is the only thing he does with the right one just because of that:) I myself am like 90% left-handed and often worry my left hemisphere is kind of retarded lol...

btw Left Handers' Day is coming (August 13) :)

Yeah I am left handed. I can write on a chalkboard with my right hand and I use scissors with my right hand. Sometimes I can't do things that left handed people can do though.

I'm left-handed. I play guitar right-handed and use scissors with my right too. Weird, ain't it?

Left-handed people have a lower life expectancy than right-handed people. Men have a lower life expectancy than women. Single people don't live as long as married people. I'm left-handed, male and single. I will consider it a great victory if I manage to survive to the new year :) .

On a serious note, has anyone suffered prejudice by being left-handed? My ex's mom was REALLY anti-lefty. I always remember her telling me the story about how she and her mom were painting a wall and came to a tricky spot. She said to her mom, "oh, Imhotep would be really good at this bit" and her mother asked why. Then she told her that I was left-handed and apparently her mom went really quiet :eek: .

I'm left-handed! My handwriting's alright, although my mom thinks I should write in a typical 'girly' style - big, bubbly letters. :p
I do some things with my right hand though.

Most left-handers can do some things with their right hand anyway because you have to adapt if you're in a minority.

For some reason, I don't have much problem using right-handed scissors in my left hand; I just can't see exactly where I'm cutting. I've never tried left-handed scissors though.
