When I'm down.. (Not for the squeamish)

#41
When the night has come
And the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we'll see
No, I won't be afraid
Oh, I won't be afraid
Just as long as you stand
Stand by me

So darlin', darlin'
Stand by me, oh, stand by me
Oh, stand, stand by me
Stand by me

If the sky that we look upon
Should tumble and fall
Or the mountain should crumble to the sea
I won't cry, I won't cry
No, I won't shed a tear
Just as long as you stand
Stand by me

Fking awesome lyrics.

Good "pub music"! (well, back in the 80s anyway). My favorite of this genre is Cold Chisel.
"I LOVE pub music - but HATE pubs" --> could be a good t-shirt for me.
haha I'm the same! Love pub music but hate pubs
Same here. Well, actually ah don't mind them. Don't go to the pub that often.
But 9 times outta 10, I'm not paying for my drinks so... I can put up with the noise of most o' the time. :giggle:

Do you wear funny/offensive tee-shirt when going to the pub?. How about sth like "I LOVE pub music - but HATE pubs" --> could be a good t-shirt to wear there! :giggle:

That's a good idea. Never thought of that before.

I don't really like drawing attention to myself when out in public. Unless, of course I'm going to Edinburgh where they - like folk in the south of Scotland - can be quite uptight about offensive jokes. :giggle: So, it's quite rare that I wear a funny/offensive shirt when out and about, since they get a mixed reaction. And I overdone it a bit last year - wearing 5 of my offensive/funny joke t-shirt.

My life feels like a nuclear wasteland.

Sunshine above the clouds, but I can't reach it.
I live in the darkness. Scavenging, hoping.
I feel like I'm turned inside out.
My emotions are on the outside for all to see, but not by choice.
On the inside I'm hollow. A void. Numbed to avoid self pain.

Life is bleak. I know the sunshine is there.
I keep on going in hope. Yet deep inside I know it is folly.
Like a survivor in a post apocalyptic world
I don't know why I exist, yet I do.
