I'm Not Like Everbody Else by the Kinks. Why this song isn't among their better known is beyond me but I guess it's all subjective. Great song.

Jimmy Eat World - The Middle. The lyrics may be very simple-minded, but that's what makes them so earnest and sincere.

Hey, don't write yourself off yet.
It's only in your head you feel left out
or looked down on.
Just try your best,
try everything you can.
And don't you worry what they tell themselves
When you're away.

It just takes some time
Little girl, you're in the middle of the ride.
Everything, everything will be just fine,
Everything will be allright, alright.

Hey, you know they're all the same.
You know you're doing better on your own,
so don't buy in.
Live right now.
Yeah, just be yourself.
It doesn't matter if it's good enough
For someone else.

It just takes some time
Little girl, you're in the middle of the ride.
Everything, everything will be just fine,
Everything, everything will be alright, alright.

It just takes some time
Little girl, you're in the middle of the ride.
Everything, everything will be just fine,
Everything, everything will be alright.

Hey, don't write yourself off yet.
It's only in your head you feel left out
or looked down on.
Just do your best,
Do everything you can.
And don't you worry what their bitter hearts
Are gonna say.

It just takes some time,
Little girl, you're in the middle of the ride.
Everything, everything will be just fine,
Everything, everything will be alright.

It just takes some time,
Little girl, you're in the middle of the ride.
Everything, everything will be just fine,
Everything, everything will be allright

Other songs I recommend are:
Glass, concrete and Stone - David Byrne

I think music is a good thing and it makes us forget about sp but also other things while listening to it. I like a lot of songs and it's hard to choose some but I'll tell some more or less new ones I like : everybody's changing (Keane), don't cry for pain (Ana Johnson) and Stuck (Stacie Orrico)

SO MANY!!!!.....anything by Radiohead for starters.....then a bit of Daniel Johnston always helps me feel less alone.

erm....

"Peer Pressure" by Jon Brion makes me melt
"La Dispute" - Yann Tiersen [Amelie ost]
"Try Try Try" by Smashing Pumpkins always seems to hit me really deep
"Marie Floating over the backyard" by Eels [I love this guy!]
"Gretchen Ross" by Michael Andrews makes me yearn [in a good way]
"Song my Friends Taught Me" by Laura Veirs is beautiful too.
"A Change is Gonna Come" - Sam Cooke - the sound of a human being staring death in the face - very awe inspiring!
"All you need is Love" - The Beatles - that never fails to cheer me up!
