The insatiable hunger

Just a poem I wrote because I'm in the mood I guess. It's about my depression, and everything else that makes sure that my life is unfulfilling.



The pain that eats away inside
is never fully satisfied
It twists my soul and takes me away
never knowing what to say
and in the prison that is my mind
is where this ugly beast resides
LET ME OUT!!! he screams and shouts
and I whisper someday....someday....

When this day will come, I can never be sure
all the while it hungers, I hear its stomach stir
an everyday struggle with the demonic beast
so one day I may Rest In Peace.
Again, I don't know when this day will come
But I can only hope the war will end, when I have won.

Seems very real and you describe your illness / dark thoughts rather powerfully.

You seem in touch with your feelings which is a good thing - at least you're expressing your thoughts and getting them out rather than bottling them up.
