so you obviously dont believe in spirits (ghosts), demons, possession or anything supernatural ???

i don't believe in any of that either including god.. absolutely no evidence for any only people scaring the **** of themselves. i think the world as it really is, is far more fascinating

i disagree, what could be more fascinating than experiencing an event which cant be explained ?? ( like a building thats haunted) its scary because we dont understand it and its so unbelievable we just choose to turn the other cheek. we are nt intelliegent enough to be able to comprehend such a phenomena.

There is little proof that actually supports that any God that is actually in this word. Firstly every religon in the world controdicts each others and also there's this actual fact which is called evolution which actually shows us how we are here.

if you stay in a dark, old house its going to scare you and imagine you felt something touch your neck or a breeze will be enough to freak you out and nothing happens that needs to be explained its just our superstitious human nature and if something was actually happening we would most diffenatly be able to investigate and prove there is simply no evidence. there is actually a one million dollar prize for the first person to prove something supernatural and no one has being able to yet. and sure who wouldn't love if it did exist that would be really cool if it did

i ll take dat as a victory :D

no thats just true... e.g we can never prove that we are the only intelligent life in the universe.. you simply can never conclusively prove a negative all we can say is the probability, of course we can 100% prove that they do exist

Nobody truly knows whether a god exists or not.

The burden is on the believers to produce evidence that he exists, and not on the non-believers to prove he doesn't exist. Why? Because when you claim or believe something exists, you have to support your claim with evidence, otherwise it's the definition of a delusion.

I can totally relate to what most of us are saying. Its one of those things where you want to believe with everything ,yet how do we know what's real and what's not. Keeping the faith is like sitting in a chair. Do you ever wonder if the chair is going to support you or not before you sit down? Most of us just sitdowm without thinking. When you do that you've already trusted the chair to hold your weight.

It seems so easy when I say it this way ;however religion's a little more complex because there are different choices ,and how do we know which one is right? To me, every religion is something to believe in ,and it just gives us hope in our despair. In every religion there are laws and morals to obey with promises of peace, redemption, acceptance ,rewards and etc.... Its like they were built to keep us in line and hopeful.

Whether God actually does exist, I don't know. We don't know. You either sit in a chair or stay standing.

God does exist. Think about it. Something could have never come from nothing. I know that everything has a beginning and an end...so in order for us to exist we have to have been created by "something" eternal, with no beginning. That's the only logical explanation to me. I know that I took Anatomy & Physiology in college and was amazed at how beautifully our bodies work. So we have to have been created by "Someone"...an intelligent being. I myself am a Christian. I think the Bible is unique in some ways. It has some interesting scientific foreknowledge in it. A good example is the dietary and sanitation laws given to the Israelites, long before we knew alot about germs and things like that. They were instructed to circumsize their boys when they were 8 days old. Now we know thats the perfect time because thats when they have the most vitamin k (for blood-clotting)...No pork or vermin or any seafood without scales (now we know why)...they were told to bury their refuse and quarantine people with contagious diseases...Isaiah 40:22 mentions that the earth is round, and Amos 5:8 mentions evaporation (there are other verses as well that show knowledge of the water cycle)etc. Jesus was a real person. There are nonchristian references to Him. I could go on but won't. I know in my christian life I've witnessed many specific jaw dropping answers to prayer. I've prayed about my SA and I believe He is helping me as I help myself and that He's helping me find the right resources and the help I need. I don't understand why I'm having to deal with this in the first place but I figure maybe there's a purpose for it? I know I don't regret the fact that SA has made me more sensitive to other peoples feelings. Maybe I'm a better person because of it? Idk. Sorry this is so long guys yall hit a soft spot.lol

Also the creation story in Genesis accords with the sequence of events that science has determined. It was written thousands of years ago, before science existed.
