Red hair is indeed beautiful and sexy, and I know a US red-haired girl who also uses to hate its hair color, and I really don't know why... don't know if you OP are also from the US, but from a South European perspective this issue doesn't exist here, can't imagine why it developed in the US. Sometimes societies tend to focus their stupid hates on minorities and even take genetic issues as social and group "markers", but AFAIK, there are a lot of Irish and other European descendants in the US that share the red-haired genes, so don't where this issue comes from.
Anyway, a red-haired woman is great; a blond-haired one is also awesome, as is a black one, or a brown, or an auburn... it all depends on the personal self-esteem and values everyone has and develops. I'm not saying that personal appearance doesn't matter, on the contrary, It's obvious we all want to show our best physically, it's embedded on our social behavior to do so, but we should separate that feeling than that of extending social biases and legends that only help to harm our social cohesion even more than it is in our ubber-individualized society.
You're a red-haired: this is not ugly and harmful at all for you nor for anyone: just be proud of it, then.![]()
