Poem (Proper Man)

Another little poem, i have so much stuff in my head i just need to write it down and sometimes it turns into poems and other times just rubbish so here goes



Proper Man

I kissed you good night
You then bid me fare well
That was the end of it all
And for me it was hell

You gave me a life
But then you took it away
You left me there standing
with nothing to say

I thought we would be together
till the end like you told me
why did you set me up
when you knew it would never be

i gave it my all
where did it go wrong
we had our life planned together
and i was going to take care of it all

You had no worries
you had no fears
and when you cried i would wipe away your tears
I tried my best and done all i can

Whats the problem ?
Am i not a proper man?

It's so bitter sweet how such loveliness is inspired by such negativity and pain. From what i have read and seen nothing quite inspires the creation of beauty like pain and tragedy. Perhaps that's a good thing - if bad things have to happen some good may as well come from it. Forgive me if you disagree.
And i just have to say that this poem is nothing to be embarassed about -
it's lovely.

scotplayer..would you rather have loved and lost or never loved at all?

Hiya Worrydoll, i have never loved anyone in the way you are talking, its not about anyone in particular its just something i had in my head and it came out, but the answer to your question is yes i would rather love and lose than never love at all. I would like to have someone to aim the peom towards but unfortunalty i dont but maybe one day that will change :wink:
