People who can't respect other's opinions

A simple example of this would be(this may sound stupid but): let's say if somebody stated that they hated pizza, most people would think that that person is crazy saying things like "Are you crazy!? How can you hate pizza?" Now, I know yes most people I know/or have met love the taste of pizza, so why can't they respect others if they don't have the same taste buds as they do?(Unless they are joking) Why do some people who like typical things bash on others opinions for not have the same interests?

I have no clue. I just think most people are mean and can't see beyond their own feelings/opinions. They don't even try.

Some people think their opinions mean more than others. Other people don't know the difference between opinion and fact.

I hate it when someone tells me my opinion is wrong or invalid.

Narrow-minded people. Their way of thinking/doing/believing, etc. matters and if you don't, then there is 'something wrong with you'

Unfortunately, some people can't respect the opinions of others' especially in today's society - I think that is sad.

I don't know I try to see the other persons point and find a common point we could agree.

sometimes it works, sometimes not so much

I would like to ask, why does it bother you when people openly express how they feel? I don't think they say it to offend you on purpose; it's just in the flow of the conversation. And it's certainly not about being unable to respect other people's opinion. It's very easy to tell when somebody does that because they're being absolute d**ks.

But on a serious note, some people express they disagree with you, but yes some are definitely disrespectful when they disdain you for having a different opinion than them
