Fact:-
When you have a cold and your nose is running, wipe away the dribbles and sniff back DO NOT BLOW. Blowing your nose forces mucus into the sinus cavity thus rendering it impossible to breath through the nose. This can also cause sinus infection as you are blowing bacteria direct to your sinuses.
Sniffing back and swallowing puts the offending mucus into your bodily system where your body digests the mucus. Some of the bacteria will enter your blood stream where your white blood cells will destroy them and thus strengthening your immune system. Once the bacteria has been destroyed from sniffing back your body can then fight off any bacteria remaining clearing your cold faster.
Same go's for picking and eating. (Just don't chew
