My obsession over a number

Don't be shy, I would have liked to have had a chance to read your plight, at least. We won't be judgmental.
I hate the number 7, I don't like numbers like #34 or seeing 2:14, 81, 29, 61, etc etc because those numbers add up to equal 7 or have a difference of 7. I hate that number and I don't know why and I've been this way for almost 20 years and I'm sick of this obsession in my stupid mind, I want it to stop.

That sounds annoying. I think counseling is a good idea. I wonder if your hate for the number is connected to a repressed memory.

Sometimes I watch an add on Tv, and I think if I watch it til the end I will die. I also imagine that the hot water service will blow up. My Ocd moments not strong but there.

Hello Hot_Tamale, does it have anything to do with casino slot machines?
Hi again Jungle, no it doesn't actually but I see why you asked that. I've never been to a casino in my whole life. I just know this problem started when I was around 10-11 years old. My school teachers in my past didn't make mathematics easy for me, I hated studying math at that age and watched a whole bunch of sports on TV (there are numbers literally everywhere in sports). Maybe those 2 factors caused it, I don't even know.

So, Seven is the ultimate horror movie for you indeed. :D

I'm weird about odd numbers, I can't do anything an odd number of times without it bothering me. Scratching my arm, using my signal light, the number of coins in my pocket... everything has to be even. I won't lose my mind or anything if I can't always balance things out in that way, but it WILL irk the crap out of me.

I really sympathize with people who have true OCD issues in that way. I can't imagine what it's like when those feelings are turned all the way up.
