I have an extreme fear

This might be somewhat of a discepant view, and by all mean don't take it seriously, but my view is "F_CK" the future. The NOW is the only important thing. You can (like i have) get a degree/diploma/etc, but that is no guarantee of gaining an related job. And if your anythng like me, then yur social problms will muck-up any jobs you may get. You might stay at a job for a while, but sooner or later the "social thing" wil rear its ugly head, and the job will end. Just talking from my experience. It may be diffrent for yuo tho.
So, what i'm sayin is that, okay, work is important, but MORE important is yur "mental health" in the present. Your mother may differ from this, but she is of the "old school", so is underatndible.
But yu may strike it lucky, and get a job which can handle with ease, and stay at for a good many years.
Whatevre happen, just recall that "life is not work", & "work not life".
