For those who just want to express themselves on the spot in a lyrical (or not) way. Can be rhymed or otherwise, doesn't really matter. Fair chance to wax lyrical or just vent yourself creatively!

An awkward plant by the mower's lawn
Wilting, withered and worn
The creepers rose to smother
Little green sapling bowed down under
Rain of water that should have nurtured
Yet drowned and washed away
Foundations of clay
And would that it could cry
The teardrops would be drops amongst many
It is but one of many
As often as it would try to rise
To capture the searing sunlight
Photosynthesize and desensitize
A sad little tree whose sustenance is its poison
Sometimes it's just so hard to discern
Between bliss and blight
Still hollow roots find nothing
The leaves that should have stretched forth evergreen
Can only lie still dying and dreaming
Of verdant pastures with thriving trees
Swaying gently by the summer breeze
And an azure sky not red with fury
So pass away the little plant
And they gobbled its remains all triumphant
But in greed they had yet to pause in askance
Had they not once fed it poison?
