Once again I'm amazed at how many shy people are single. I knew that more shy people were single than outgoing people were single, but 54 to 1 is unheard of. This thread is proof that shy people are the least intimately loved people on the planet. It's kind of depressing. And of course, I'm single.

This is lamesauce...and yes I'm currently (but haven't always been) single. haha. But at the same time it just proves that people with SA have reservations, and are super shy, which sometimes, isn't a bad thing... Right?

There are factors that would influence the numbers of these results to skew them towards single social vs. attached phobics here. The amount of free time a single person has to post in online polls for, for example. Even without those factors I don't doubt it's still a significantly higher percentage.

Bright side? This place is full of attractive, single people! ::p:

Yes! Positivity is the way forward..

Just think, the more single people with SA, the more likely it is that us sufferers will find someone like minded.. Right..?! Maybe, just maybe?

Yeah except 85% of the SA sufferers are male

Wrong. There is never anything good about being shy. Shyness means less job opportunities and less personal relationships(friends and intimate) which are the key components in life for someone to be happy.

I know SA does affect females more than males. However, I remember reading how many of those same females often end up in relationships based on more outgoing guys asking them out, etc. Meanwhile, the guys with SA remain single until they're either approached by a girl or they do likewise. :)
