How have you grown?

Coming full circle to approaching my birthday, the biggest thing i learned last year was to treat women as people. I learned the detriments of rape, and saw through my friend that a woman was someone to talk to and not simply for sex. i understood the idea that women who dress sexy are not asking for lewd comments. last year, i was exposed to a dozen different cases about misogyny and i look back at the mistakes i've made interacting with women.

As I grew up I always thought everyone was a bad person. It didn't matter who it was because to me they all were terrible people in my eyes. But when I got to college and for the first time in my life I was friends with my whole class. It was such a different experience for me. My whole life I thought people were all bullies, but that experience changed me and now I don't judge before I talk to someone.

You want to know how I got these scars?
I find it somewhat ... umm.. confusing that you'd consider women/females 'as people'.

Why would you think they are not?
