too late, I'm not downloading 4 disc worth of games again.

I'm about 20 min into the game...the intro was cool but now I'm in some stupid school. It doesn't seem too interesting ::(:
The skool is Balamb Garden. I love Balamb Garden! I always wished I was a student at that skool in real life. Imagine, all the students are fighters like you, even the pretty girls! I would be a Gunblade specialist :D

Maybe I'll have to come back and play this when I'm in the mood to actually pay attention to whats going on. Maybe sometime later this week.

I've never understood the final fantasy hype and I've never played any FF game. I downloaded FF VIII for PS1 emulator just to see what the talk is about but have yet to check it out.

I also saw the CGI movie that was in theaters a few years back and I don't think it had anything to do with the game at all
It's because of the storyline and gameplay. Each has their own favorite series but for the most part FFVII said the majority of the fans favorite. It was the meaning of the story that made it instantly successful in 1997. If you were an old school back then, you'll understand why.

Game was too good that the producer even said that it would take too long to develop if they were to recreate Final Fantasy VII with the same level of graphical detail as you see in Final Fantasy XIII.

See for yourself.

what did i just watch?

so are they going to recreate FF7 or did they just do this for visual masturbation?
If they redid it for PS3 that would probably make up my mind to buy one now.

I believe that is just a huge teasing demo to show off the hardware though.

Amazing. But this vid is from 2006 which was long ago. When r Square Enix gonna make the remake
It was just for visual masturbation. It came out at the time they were releasing the PS3 I believe, to show off.
Dissapointed :(( I guess it would probably take much time and work to remake it. Not to mention it may destroy the repute that the old FF7 managed to build.
But who knows, may they change their opinion and actually do it

That is correct. Plus back then they were busy with FFXIII.

FFVII Director On Chances Of A Remake - Final Fantasy VII - Kotaku

It's just way too hard for them in the time being. It can take up to twelve years. :\

Final Fantasy VII Style Difficult to Translate to HD, Square Enix Says

FFVII Remake 'Looking Pretty Unrealistic'

So you see it's really hard. However I wouldn't say that there won't be a remake in the future. Who knows.

Only time will tell.

I would have liked a sequel to Dirge of Cerberus. That game was so underrated that it didn't make enough money to make the sequel.
