Good luck, being a librarian would be a great job. My mum used to be one and when I was younger, she would let me scan in the books if it was quiet.

$15 is pretty good pay too! Don't worry about the train, I take the train twice a week and it's always packed. I end up sitting beside random people, but everyone just does their own thing, Ipods and newspapers everywhere.

Sounds fun! One librarian I chatted with mentioned that a lot of really strange stuff happens some days, like people using the computers to look up porn. Generally, though, it sounded great.

Depends. My local library only allows access to the library's catalog, and no other websites. High school and college libraries, on the other hand, probably allow you to browse further than that, and access porn. I remember one time I snuck into my high school with a friend (after classes had ended) and one of the guys who worked at the library was jacking off (we saw him through the window, since it was the only light that was on in the entire school). Fun times.

A library assistant position paying $15/hr. Its only 4 hours a day though

Ok I havent applied yet but this is so perfect. There are some things they'd need to teach me so I hope they are willing and not feel like its a burden to them.

Wow, I'm so jealous. Actually, I did something like that about 20 years ago. If I had had any sense, I would have kept that position. Retirement plan, generous vacation time, NYC location. Sigh. Look at me now. Gulp.
