Do you have to rehearse in your mind before you speak?

I do, but only because I have a tendency to talk WAY too fast. Often times people can't understand me because of how fast my speech is, and then I end up stuttering and stumbling all over my words as if my tongue can't keep up. So I have to rehearse what sentence I'm about to say and "train" my mind to say the words slower so that when it finally comes out it won't just sound like "jreirjoithowithewiuowithewiuthew8uthew9uth9w8uthwu9thuewithewit"

Yes, I rehearse in my mind all the time... Not just in the situation, but at night I lie awake running over possible scenarios... I've had so many conversations in my head which never happened...
I do this all the time. I hate it!!! My mind just works overtime. It's so exhausting.

Yes, I always rehearse what I say in my mind. I probably only actually vocalize 5-10% of what I think, though.

Yes, most definitely, i spend a good amount of words saying that "i have nothing to add" when prompted in group conversations as well.

I have a tendency so run through conversations i could be having with people of authority (mainly police), strangely enough these are among the people i am MOST comfortable talking to despite my shenanigans with the law (never been caught though).

When I'm in a group of people I know and like well enough, I don't have to think about what to say next at all, and I'm able to make a lot of people laugh in a friendly setting. I'm actually more nervous when it comes to one-on-ones, because then there's more responsibility on you to keep the conversational ball rolling, whereas with groups, you're not expected to speak all the time. So yes I have to think about what I say when I'm alone with someone, even if it is a friend.

This is all literally me! And it's so bad I can't even talk to myself probably! I mess up just thinking to myself so bad I just..stop thinking. Confusing..
