Do you hate your voice?

For me - similar as VJ however it's just the way I pronounce words, I butcher many or just hat how I say some, and need to really warm up the chords to sound decent. But then the more one actually speaks the better they'll get - your tongues a muscle, and breathing is also key.

I used to do tongue twisters and helped tremendously if ppl have issues pronouncing certain things.

I have a phobia talking on the phone and don't like my voice especially when I hear it back it literally makes me cringe! Yet people I have managed to talk too said they really like my voice and I have a unique accent.

My voice is too high, it sounds more like a child's voice than woman's. I guess smoking would help but I don't want to smoke.

Oh please, don't smoke. It's so much better to have a high voice (especially in a woman) than cancerous lungs.

I have a deep, monotone sounding voice. It's always bugged me personally, but women have told me it's sexy. Go figure. I think often times we are our own worst critics. It's like the girl who thinks she's fat, but to everyone else she looks great.

I got called something like a "sick Kermit" or something before, so yeah. It's deep and soft so hard to hear and it sounds like crap.

^ True this! I like the voice I hear when I speak, but I hate hearing my true voice back on recordings or over the phone/internet when there's a delay. But I make a conscious effort to enunciate, inflect and not to talk "through my nose" to sound a way I'm comfortable with. If not I can get mumbly, deep and monotone as well. :]
