DO you do anything that helps you cope with life?

Hi niceguy...i meditate(vipassana, Buddha's meditation), do yoga , watch mr.Bean and sometimes random acts of kindness help me forget my anxieties and worries.

Also i do simple jobs given to me by family...when i am too anxious, i rest or listen to Ajahn brahm on you tube....riding alone on my bike does help me sometimes. Or being at a park when there are no people or very few.

In India...there are people everywhere....i try to get away. Be in solitude. Playing with kids or dogs can be therapeutic. Living moment by moment, not thinking too much about past or future is a difficult but happy living. I am trying. Keeping silent(and observing myself) when confronted with ugly situations in life(like my anxiety or a difficult relationship)...thereby increasing my tolerance and good-will.

No lying(also being kind when i talk)
no drinking(helps me in self-control and guilt free life)
no stealing(helps me in having my self-esteem intact...people believe in me)
no sexual misconduct(others appreciate when i live a life that don't hurt marriages and other relationships)
no killing of living beings(have self respect as i respect other living beings, i also don't hurt other animals for my taste buds or for fun)

Wishing you an anxiety free life....

I like to paint, take photographs, and read. I also like to put on a good comedy (whether sitcom, movie, comedians, etc.) and have a good laugh.

not actually Fiona Apple
Music, of course.

Also, I'm not sure how to word it but like, things that get the wheels turning in my brain (positively). Like while I'm reading a philosophy paper and trying to make sense of it, find faults or decide if the arguments make sense, I feel good while doing that, invested and interested. Maybe it's having some sort of thing to solve or strive to figure out, like a goal of sorts. Puzzles I've always liked too and when I can get into them also distract me pretty good, recently I solved "Eisenstein's riddle" or something like that, it was a good half hour spent.
