Do people sometimes think that you are gay?

I had that happen in Highschool once. This girl was like, "Hey I want to hook you up with a friend of mine". Of course she didn't tell me that her friend was a man. When I met him I was disappointed to say in the least, and when she saw that her response was, "What, you mean you aren't gay?"

One of my best friends is gay, and the reason he became friends with me was because he thought I was in the closet and didn't know it. It was because I never showed any interest in women and I seemed to push them away more than try to score. Its always funny to watch girls come hit on him and his boyfriend in the bar but it makes me feel like the ugly friend sometimes.
