Yeah, I agree with that too. I think it is important (especially if you have SP) to concentrate what is going on around you rather than what is going on within you.
I think that there is a major hurdle in recovering from SP.
For example, when someone is talking to you, rather than thinking how you should reply, actually listen to what they are saying (your response will come automatically). I know that sounds difficult (and it is), but I believe it is all linked to getting in the habit of thinking externally, seeing what is going on around you. If you can practice this and make improvements on noticing more things that are actually happening rather than listening to your imagination then the conversations will become easier.
