Eh everyone is different... For example I feel perfectly comfortable around women and becauseI don't like them sexually it wouldn't be awkward for me at all, it would feel normal and relaxing. But I feel that way when I'm with guys I like, because I like them, so it starts up a whole bunch of anxiety and so on and I feel awkward. Basically, think of two straight buddies hanging out... no awkwardness because they don't like each other. Women are basically my male buddies. (Though, it can get weird if they develop feelings for me, which has happened on several occasions because of how I act around them I guess. Why must women fall for me and not guys ><)

But that's just my case I guess.

Lol I'm the same way in the sense that girls always crush on me but guys are always NOT interested.
