I've made a lot of threads this week. But whatever.

I like you guys. Not that my opinion matters, but.

This is probably the most tightly-knit forum I've ever participated in. The other ones I've signed up for have all been either too big or just not very welcoming. I never felt a part of the community. But here it's like kicking it with some old friends. Even if I don't know someone well on the site, I still feel like we share some kind of bond because we're both on here. Maybe it's one-sided, but I feel that way just the same.

People complain about this site all the time, and I guess that's to be expected of any forum, or of anything in life, ever. People like to complain - we're pretty good at it. But you have to admit, we're a pretty cool group. For all our faults, we have each other's backs, we do our best to reach out. The Chatbox is usually a nice, fun, safe place to go to if you feel like you need some interaction (lately, anyway - it isn't always active).

So I just wanted you all to know that even though I'm just one random American Mas*hole out here, I like you and I'm happy I've been a member for almost two years now. I've met some amazing people here, and so what if it's just online? You're all real people and that's all that matters. Maybe someday I'll meet some of you in person, too. Maybe 😉

And no, I haven't been drinking. But I do need to go to bed.

Stay awesome, people.

🙂

Meh

S'okay - has it's moments. Some good some not so good.

Perhaps we just don't hear as much as about the not so good ones.

Well, yeah. I said that. That's going to be the case on any forum. But I've joined quite a few and have never found one like this one. It's the only one I've returned to time and again because I think it's actually useful and there are people I can talk to - not so on the other sites I've joined.

Not meaning to be rude, but I don't understand why the people who don't like it insist on sticking around even though they're quite vocal about how much they dislike it :idontknow:

Sarcasm? hah

But yeah, yippee... and stuff.

I like it here, so long as people aren't bickering and arguing and nitpicking about semantics. Then I take my cup of tea and move to the next table.

Aw. 🙂

Yes, I'm glad I found this place. I've met some really lovely people here, and I do wish I could meet some of them in person--however terrifying that may be.

Sure, there are some bitter people, a few crazies, and a few who just want to make everything about them. But I can simply choose not to interact with people who will drag me down.

It has helped to know that I'm not the only brain-damaged person out there.

I'm just here for the babes.... and the elitism of course. :sarcastic:

I feel the exact same way. I have often wondered why I have not found the strong sense of community that exists in here in any other forums I have joined.
