Things you have left undone over months and years?

Maybe I'm just lazy and it has nothing to do with being avoidant, but I can look around my room and find things I have never ended up completing... Maybe it's a fear of completion.
I have:
- a few rolls of film that need to be developed (at least 2 years old)
- a friend's yearbook from a couple years ago that I never returned (the friend still has mine too... I'm not sure what to do about it at this point.)
- at least a dozen books with bookmarks, read part way through (even books I like or want to read I have a hard time finishing) and probably 20 more that I own but have never even opened
- before I sold them, I didn't even watch dvds I liked that often
- items i promised I'd sell on ebay (some have been sitting around since february)
- a college application and at at least 4 job applications- all completely filled out have been sitting in a drawer for the past year
- a pamplet from the ymca I'd thought i'd read (it's been sitting a few months maybe a year)
- bath stuff I've never used
- the worst I'd say is I never emailed a friend back for no particular reason- i can't even bring myself to log into that email account- i feel bad- i emailed them all nice and they responded and then i never responded back... that was 2 or 3 years ago.

I also have a bank account I never closed.. haven't touched it in 2 1/2 years... haven't paid my taxes from last year- or even called to try and make a payment plan. everything tends to sit, just like me.

What do you have that you've left undone/never gotten around to?

I leave just about everything unfinished.

I get bored and distracted easily, and there's no worse feeling to me than knowing there's something I've got to do.

A couple of years ago, I made a deal with a guy to do some graphic design work for his website; in return, he'd sell me a computer worth around 1,800 dollars for about half that. I sent him a check, did 90% of the work for his business site, and then just left it all.

He has the computer, my money, and all the banners and other things I did for his site.

And I could care less. It was worth it to me to let him have it all in order to get out of something that I had completely lost interest in.

Why would you pay him lol?

Yeah sometimes... I just say "Ok, today I'm going to do this" and i end up procrasinating, and when i remember, a month passed (or longer) and i didn't do yet what i wanted/had to do. I just got lazy, i guess...

Hmm computer wise there are thousands of projects or ideas I have started on the computer and never finished. I have massive trouble finishing projects.

I've left my entire life undone. I have so much unfinished business that when I die I'll probably haunt the world forever.

I recently "forgot" to pay my student fees. (have the money)
And slowly get the feeling, that being reimatriculated might be a thoughy.

A bit off topic, but it's interesting that people like Da Vinci also have lots of unfinished projects. They will initiate lots of things. Some people initiate better, some finish and follow through better.

The world as it is currently though, rewards the finishers better...

I never pay my student fees
I don't have my license, nor have I really started the process of getting it
I told my Uncle I'd burn him the discography of this musician he really likes for like, a year and then he died.
I wait to the last minute to do homework or big projects
About 80 % of my book shelf is full of books I haven't read
Just now, I stopped doing my Grad Transitions because I'd rather go on the internet

I know the feeling well. I've god several DVD's from last Christmas and the one before that to watch. My sky+ has loads of films to watch as well but I can never really sit still long enough to watch them

Also simple tasks like putting rubbish in the bin. I have a few boxes that have been around my room for months and months.

I bought a load of fibre glass resin and stuff for a project I was going to do but never got round to it. I've got boxes full of stuff for another project that I haven't got round to yet as well. I think one of my big problems is that I can't make decisions and change my mind often.

As for important stuff, I usually leave it until the last possible minute to do it. I can't get motivated otherwise. I was meant to sort out an old bank account about five years ago now but never got round to it.

I've been meaning to start painting miniatures for about 15 years now, if not longer. And that's miniatures to use in role-playing games and war games. Of course, it's no good painting them if you don't use them. But that entails actively seeking out friends....

Also on the gaming note, I was going to run a WWII-based campaign, then a sci-fi campaign in the past few years. I bought all kinds of books and accessories, then never started anything. And since this past spring, I haven't even hung out with my gaming buddies.

I've had a violin that I've been dying to learn to play for almost 4 1/2 years now.

I've wanted to join or start a band for years. The last band I tried out for gave me the boot on my birthday 6 years ago.

I've been really interested in falconry for about 5 years now. Again, I bought a few books, then never pursued it further.

In the spring I picked up some kung fu books. Still fat, weak, and inflexible.

I "took a break" from college 6 years ago. Although I never really had a major for the two years that I was there....

I've wanted to get into the whole making of medieval weapons and armor for years. Obviously I haven't.

My hard drive is full of years of song ideas, yet not one completed song....

I've wanted to get back into writing poetry for years, but again....

For a few years I've wanted to build a new computer and try my hand at recording some music. But....

I haven't had a job in 5 years. And that was only for one day. So it's been over 6 years now that I haven't had a real job.

On a more short-term scale, I haven't gotten in shape at all for my sister's wedding (in a week and a half, now). For about two months there's been a brush pile in the yard that I've had to break up and bag up. Maybe I should befriend some guys at the firehouse on the next block instead? And my bed sheets stink. I really need to just wash them, but they will just get dirty again....
