Testing out Avert oral glyco

Hello all. I have been dealing with severe generalized (all over) HH for a very long time. It has seriously impacted my life in a negative way. I have tried every treatment option up to this point (including glyco) to no avail. When I tried glyco for the first time years ago, it was by prescription of doctor for Robinul......and it did not work....no matter how many mg i took of it.

Years later, I have decided to try again....except this time I decided to pay the extra money for Avert as that is the crowd favorite here on this website. I know it is the same thing (glycopyrrolate) that I tried before...but it is a different brand...no idea if that would affect the outcome or not but I have nothing to lose (except money) since i hate my life. I am really hoping it works for me. Even if it is something I can just rely on for days that I really need/want to be sweat free...that would be great.

Also, my avert pills are like blue/green capsules. Is everyone else's like that?

I just took my first one 10 mins ago (in morning on empty stomach) and will keep this thread updated to let everyone know how it goes. If it works, this would be a big deal for me and a win for all the HH sufferers out there :)

********* STATUS UPDATE POST***********

i took 1mg at 9am. it came to 10am with no effect....still sweating just from sitting here playing video games. I took another 1mg at 10am so I now have 2mg in me over 1 hour time.

the time is now 10:30 still no effect. :(

the time is now 11am (2 hours since first dose). Armpits still pouring like a faucet from just sitting here inside in air conditioning. Still have not eaten anything all day. So far, this is very disappointing :(

It takes longer than an hour for me. Here's what I would do: Take 8mg at 3am by setting your alarm. That is the maximum dosage. If you're not dry in the morning, it's not going to work for you at all. Your dosage and timing seemed a little inconsistent. I'm not a doctor or medical professional so do what you're comfortable with. Ever try botox?

Mine are white. I get the 30x 2mg from pharmacy.ca. The difference in dosages might be why they are different colors. 1mg is weak sauce for me. I take 4mg daily and it keeps me sane and dry, with a little dry mouth and photosensitivity.

It takes 4 hours for glyco to kick in for me. I take it at 8am and am dry by 12pm.

Start with 2mg in the morning on an empty stomach and wait. If you don't get dry with that, try 3mg the next day, 4mg the day after that and so on, until you reach an effective dose. Don't bother taking it in the afternoon if the morning dose doesn't work, I found that to be a waste of pills. It'll probably work for you eventually, but it takes some trial and error.

I would NOT start out at 8mg. 5mg for me results in unbearable side effects (really dry papery mouth, very dry eyes, difficulty urinating, etc.)
