hi i suffers from sweaty hand and feet.i have tryed "botox" injections in my hands whith not so great effect.and tryed iontophoresis whith drionic many years ago whith bad results so i quit.

have some quiestions that ill hope someone can answer.
sorry for my bad enghlish, but ill hope you will understand:)
first i will say something about my condition.i sweat only from my hands and feet, and would like answer from those how sweat from the same place as me,please.
i dont know how severe my sweating is,but it is not dripping from my hands like some others.but my hands/feet is wet and you can see my sweating glands good.its a terribale and stupid thing too suffer from.ETS operation is not a alternative for me.....so

1.has anyone tryed some antiperspirant, like megadry. that helps for sweaty hands/feet?
2.has anyone tryed herbs that help from this,i have order some from http://www.anti-sweat.com/ but not sure what it is, or if it is dangerous.
3.i heard from a spanish site that you can take some aluminiumklorid 20-25% whith 95% in form of alcehol and cover hands/feet whith polietien(some kind of plast?) at night. and then you can have up to one week FREE from sweat, and maybe in time/years destroy your sweating glands in hands and feet.anyone know something about this?or is there a way to destroy sweating glands? a little confusing because i dont know spanish, but had it transelate to me.

and at last a question too you pinker,i have order a new iontophoresis (idrostar) and i know that you are using it.how good does it work for you on hands and feet? they where sold out at the time, so ill have to wait some weeks before i get it.
many questions but ill hope for some answers, thank you for your time to read this:)

Hi :)

Was it STD pharmaceuticals you tried ordering the machine from?

For me the idrostar has worked very well (and still is). It offers everything the other machines have and is the cheapest of the lot! So I think its a great investment. I think if you keep the batteries fully charged, use a reasonable current and spend a good length of time, then it is very effective. Personally i've had to take a slightly different approach to using it because my sweating turned out to be quite severe on my hands and feet (palmer and plantar hyperhidrosis).

When I was using normal tap water iontophoresis I managed to get my hands and my feet quite dry after quite a lot of treatments (around 7-10), but the drawback was to maintain this I had to use the machine very frequently, usually two or three 1 hour treatments a week. For you or other people you may find you need much less, it varies a LOT from person to person. This took up quite a lot of time as you can guess and the frequency of treatments irritated my skin quite a lot (had some patchy eczema). Also in certain situations I still found my fingertips in particular could get moist whch was disheartening. So I was advised to start using glycopyrrolate solution instead which is a LOT more effective for me. Hopefully you won't need this.

When you used your Drionic how many treatments did you do a week? and how long did they last for? I think everyone agrees that how well iontophoresis works depends mainly on the method you use. I have noticed on the drionic though it has a ridge in it which means you can't treat the middle of the palms or foot? That seems a very strange design. :?

Right, I went on a bit there lol.
- The megadry antiperspirant sounds good because there's suppost to be no irritation, but i've never ever heard of a case where an antiperspirant has worked on hands and feet unfortunately. It could be worth a try but like you say botox didnt work for you then antiperspirants are a much more milder option in comparison.

- I've never tried that anti sweat pill, but I know a few people have over on the esfb forum http://www.esfbchannel.com/forum/
could be worth a try posting there. I think it turned out to be a bit of a flop :p

- The 3rd thing I have no idea what that is! Do you have a link to the webpage?

Good luck!

hi pinker.thank you for your reply:)
i order the machine from a norwegian site who deliver in scandinavia http://www.ajgruppen.no/
i tried drionic for many years ago,and quit using it for more then one reason.
the design is not good so it didnt treat my whole hand,i only used it for my hands.it worked, but not so great that i wish it would.+ i had to order new batteries from the united states all the time, and did not have internet then,so i had to post the orders.
cant remeber how many treatments i used, but i think it was 3 to 4 treatments a week all the time for a period of about 2-3 months.maybe i didnt give it a real shot, but like i said the time and affert i used wasnt whurt the result i had.cant remember how long they last for either, but i was never really "cured" from the sweating.
but it seems like idrostar its much better design+its using ordinary AA batteries.great to hear that idrostar is working so good for you, maybe it will for me too:)just has to get the machine first, they where sold out so i had to wait they said.

yea botox didnt work for me,so i dont think that antperspirant would either.but i read about one guy that had botox 3 times and it did work the first time for about six months, but 2 and 3 treatment, botox didnt worked so good.
so he tried dehydral and that did work for his hands too and its still working over 2 years after and better then botox did to?? for some drysol work and for some it dont.many people say that dehydral dont work.yea a bit confusing this, but it seems to be so different from person to person so i think i just has to try this antiperspirants out my self.because i now think we are so different.dont know how severe my sweating is comparing to others.but i am wet all the time.but its not dripping from my hands/feet like others.i asked megadry if it worked on hands and feet.they answerd me that they had some good results on the feet but no garanti. its my hands that is the biggest problem so that was the reason why i asked on this forum if anyone had good results on hands/feet using some kind of antiperpirant, like megadry?

hehe, yea it seems like its a flop this anti-sweat pills when i read about it on the forum.but ill think i would give it a try because i have allready order them

dont have the link because it wasnt me who found it,i was only told this from this person who know that i had this problem and she transelate it to me the best she could.it was a spanish site to,i dont read spanish:)
but i understood it was like taking antiperspirant on the hands and then wrap them in plastic for the night.just was wondering if anyone had tried this?

thank you for answering pinker.

hi again
i have been reading this site before whith botox and iontophoresis and im happy that there is something for the future.maybe we can only use the ionto.. 1 time a month .what a relife that would be:) just dreaming here.
but i am little worried about how safe this is.botox is poison and how can they control how much your body can take by using it by iontophoresis?
dont wanna have simular side-effects like ETS surgery can have.but im glad that something is going on for the future.
do you know something about when they can try it out for the public?

another question
how sucsessfull is iontophoresis for you in %. 80%,95%?,and how many treatments must you take in one week, two weeks to keep your hands and feet stabil like this?

ok..100% that is great.im very glad to hear that.

ill think i am going to try water first, and hope that ill be fine whith that.
3 one hour treatments a week,dho...that is a lot...

but could you tell me a little about what glyco is and how it works, pinker?
is it only glyco you use or is it some glyco drops in water or do you take glyco on your fingertips?what is the side-effect whith glyco then?
and where do you get it from?

hi again pinker.
i have order idrostar from this norwegian site and i have to pay 3998,- NOK,thats about 500 USD.but idrostar has worked for you and its successrat is 92,5% from facts from this site.the trouble about drionic i have tried before was its bad design it didnt worked for my whole hand or feet.it looks like idrostar has a better design, and maybe its a little bit stronger too?

mains supply....do you mean whith out batteries,is it a spesific machine you can suggest?
maybe there is better machines out there, but at least i have to get some results from this machine.so i know that iontophoresis works for me.and then maybe buy a more expensive later.
iomax 4 from this site you can treat both hand and feet at the same time, and it has a rechargeable batteri built inside the macine,so can plug it in your power suply in the house.and the power you can control by your right finger on a stick in the iontbath thats built in there by optic fiber.argh,my bad english,,hope you know what i mean:) but it cost 10600,-NOK,thats about 1300,-USD.and i asked them if they have the same effect? he said yes,and suggested idrostar for me,because it was cheaper and more for privat use..iomax 4 was most used by clinics or hospital.
but like i said if idrostar is usefull ill will maybe buy iomax 4 later and use this at home, and take idrostar whith me if i travel.but they should have the same effect he said.but he is not a doctor and if you know that somebody have a better result by this main supply machines my ears are open:)
