sudden underarm wetness

hi,
im a 18yr old guy who has now, suddenly been facing constant underarm wetness.its been going on for 2months now and it is pissing me off.i know that my case is not extreme but i would like you guys to help me out on whats wrong with me and what i can do about it.

before this,i normally sweat less from the armpits..even when my back is soaked in sweat from sports,my underarm reigion is relatively dry...however now i sweat from the armpits even when im typing this msg...
i find that it stops when i lie down or during the first hr or so in the morning...but when i walk around or do something..it starts to sweat..strangely enough,i find that it dosent smell at all even when i dont use deodorant but it rushes down and leaves a massive sweat patch around 10cm in diameter.
i am getting really annoyed and would like to stop all this bullshit.i have not been using an antiperspirant for a while now...but i tried it the other day and it not help at all.

i hope you guys can help me out.

ps: if all this underarm sweating could take the form of a human..id beat the fuck outta him and peel off his skin and put him in a tub full of salty sub-boiling water and let that bastard feel the pain that we go thru.

:lol: haha.. yes..if only. i get the whole sweatiness too..and its worse for me cause I’m a girl.. :( it's very 'unattractive' for a girl to sweat heaps...especially in winter when i'm just sitting in class!!! :oops:
mines caused by nervousness though - i worked it out. Antiperspirant worked a little for me. but i do use alot and it's an expensive one too.

theres a name for constant sweating but i forget what it's called. i'm sure someone here will mention it soon! :)

hey despise...do you get times where you dont sweat from your armpits??cos i did have this same problem a few winters back but it only lasted a while and it wasnt so bad...is the word you are talking about called hyperhydrosis(spelling?) or something like that??

man, its getting really annoying...i feel like i just wanna live in a pool of water or in the ocean :D hey despise..you said yours is caused by nervousness...but when youre sitting in class are you constantly nervous??

mm is it called hyper hydrosis? i'm not sure if that's caused by anxiety or induses it... oh well but that's excessive sweating. i don't know any solutions except carefully choose your shirts. the only cause i can think of is hormones? i sweat when i'm nervous. there was a time when it was pretty bad just b/c i was anticipating it and i'd be nervous about it etc. but since you've never really experienced it before i don't know what's going on :? maybe see a doc, who knows what's going on... good luck though :D

ah thanks chilling__echo...ill try to see a doctor.its kinda hard cos im in japan and i dont really speak fluent japanese...i certainly dunno how to say excessive sweating in jpnese.
i guess ill just have to point to my arm pits and scream alot. :p
i think ill go look for an antiperspirant..cos i was using one of thoes my entire teens and yea ive never had this problem b4 except like once or twice.

hey..im there cos ive gotten a 9month break b4 i go to college and then uni in australia..i was studying in southeast asia until 2months ago...
im half jpnese so i wanted to go home b4 i started the next part of my education in a differnt country. :D
yeap i am on an awesome vacation!!!! :D :D

that is waaay too cool. my hope is to travel one day, i went to germany four years ago and loved it! but that's about it :D my boyfriend is half filipino and his family are planning to go back sometime and invited me to go. just don't know when we're going so i'm keeping my fingers crossed :wink: but that's really neat.

yeap south east asia is really cool!its really different,although ive never been to the philipines ive seen it on tv and know heeps of ppl who went there..its amazing..one drawback tho..when i say those palces are differnt i mean like everything..even the air..this is where it might affect some of you guys as the moment you step off the plane it feels like a warm fart in your face and when you walk about during the day you feel like someone put butter down your ass crack and your arm pits are like drenched and moist 24/7 :p

haha i can imagine. the only thing i'm worried about is sticking out like a sore thumb! it's one thing to be a returning filipino, or even half filipino, but it's another being white/light brown hair too :wink:

i went on a cruise in december to the bahamas and there were as many tourists as there were locals so it wasn't bad. but it was deperessing b/c their culture had basically turned into that of a tourist trap. everything there was for the tourists, cheap stuff, shops, hair brading businesses and nothing else. kind of like how people get mad over Native americans putting up casinos in the states b/c it's solely for the purpose of making money so they can basically survive and keep the land. vicious cycle that no one can do anything about :? oh well. i'm off my soapbox :wink:

i live in australia and i have been "diagnosed" with hyperhidrosis ie excessive sweating. i get it in my hands feet and underarms, hands are the worst though (actually, they're all prob the same but hands are the ones i'm most concerned about cuz i'm a fairly tactile and social person so it's very annoying) anyway ive tried lots of things, from different antipersperants to iontophoresis machine to botox injections in my hands. i don't want to get the sympathectomy because of it's unattractive side effects. anyway, i have found a cure for my underarms - Driclor, available in Australian pharmacies for about 15 bucks. it stings when u put it on but it's miraculous - if it is applied properly then i get zero sweat for the next couple of days. so check it out. i think Maxim is the American alternative. unfortunately driclor doesn't work for my for my hands, does work for the sides of my feet but not the soles.

Hey, c-to-the-rin, I'm in Oz too, do you know which pharmacies stock Driclor? I've used Mitchum, but that doesn't even work well at all. Would you really recommend driclor, and have you experienced any side effects??

this is what happened to me wen i was 12... when i first had constant sweating, hyper hydrosis and then it began to get worse and then smell after about a year. ive had it for about 6 years now... i spose ive just learnt to deal with it but its a load of crap and unfair to have it.

ps get rid of it now rather than wait six yrs like i did! it wont get any betteR!

Ok, it is for esthetic part and not ruining clothes, but...
But, i sweat all over? How i m supposed to do some sport, to walk, when it leaves me with wounds? Can do almost any sport
becuse of f*kin excessive sweath.
