Southpark thinks Cancer is funny...

I am pissed off because the latest episode of southpark is called "the breast cancer episode ever"

Breast cancer is a serious and devastating disease that can kill women. A family member of mine has it, and it is deeply upsetting.

I will boycott southpark from now on.

guy: aids, racism, antisemitis, bullyng, homosexyalism, tabagism , obesity, poverty, ben aflec...
none of this matters are really funny and they're serios problems and south park always made fun of this....

south park is all about making fun with serious things, the kind of dark humor will potentially harm someone... they will just spit it on the audience, i particulary think that they (almost) almost hide some kind of criticism

man they killed a 8 years boy almost always in the first seven season...
don't know how the show is going now, but i don't believe the content will change, ever...

To me it sounds like you're pissed off about the title and haven't seen the episode yet (in fact it haven't aired yet, right?). If you've been following South Park you should probably be aware by now that they're usually over-the-top with their jokes, and want to be daring and provocative. "The Breast Cancer Show Ever" is an amusing title actually, you're just being too touchy.

I just watched this episode and it was brilliant. The message conveyed was that people who make fun of breast cancer are weak bullies and those who truly care are strong and righteous. There are some "offensive" jokes that trivialize cancer, but they are spoken by a character who gets completely trashed as a coward and loser over the course of the episode. It was actually very stirring and well-written.

(On a larger scale, the episode was essentially about the occasional necessity for right to take action against wrong, and cancer was the illustrative topic at hand.)

Lighten up, its just a joke. I kinda understand how you feel but you need to learn to be more hardened to "offensive" material. My grandpa died of cancer and yeah it made me feel bad but I still thought that episode was fucking hilarious lol.

South park is one of those shows that always pushes the line of what is offensive and what isnt. In the case of this episode it just made fun of the word "breast" which is always a funny word. Its kinda sad that youd avoid such a great show on the basis of one of its episode titles o_O

yeah, that show was really one of the best episodes I've seen in many seasons. it reminded me of how good it used to be. this was probably the best one in a long while. It was the first that wasn't an obvious parody in a while.

But really I thought that this episode did the absolute opposite of making fun of people with cancer. It really made cancer seem silly.

making fun of cancer is something that seems to be a good thing. i mean we make fun of other terrible thigns like racisms and annoying people, so making fun of cancer puts it down to another level.

This episode was really a triumph for cancer patients.

And I am pretty sure everyone in the world has been clsoe to 3 people who had cancer. I have a few friends who died from cancer. and this show does not make fun of cancer at all.

Also I am mad at my station manager for criticizing me forplaying a cancer psa along with like 5 other psas at the same time saying i offended cancer patients. that is not true at all. I just played 5 at once, and I was really just trying to make cool sounds.

Exactly!
South Park is satire at its brutal best. Despite being "provocative, " inflammatory" or "insensitive," the show almost always has a positive message.

South Park is a fantastic show.

The surface of each episode is always something stupid or offensive, but if your paying attention you'll notice each episode is always trying to make an important point or statement.

In the case of the breast cancer episode the moral was 1. people who make fun of cancer are pieces of crap and 2. Sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe is right despite the consequences ex: Wendy kicking the crap out of cartmen for making fun of breast cancer knowing she'll be punished.
