It seems legit. I opened it and listened to it before it started buffering. It's in an automated voice though, not a human's.
I want to listen to the rest when my connection is better.

Okay, I listened to it.

Your feelings matter, and if you feel as though you can't open to anyone, you can open up here. Feel free to use this website as a journal of sorts.

Also, take a look deep down and ask yourself if those negative things you said about yourself are actually true, or simply things you've convinced yourself to be. Surely you have things to offer to this world. Surely you have things you enjoy doing and talking about.

Try to find places near you where you can volunteer (helping animal shelters, that sort of thing). It'll make you get out of your house, feel useful, and meet new people.

This guy used to be an alcoholic . He drank heavily on a constant basis and had no life...but then he found something to be a part of . Something bigger than himself. He decided he wanted to be somebody . It was HIS choice alone that changed his life. He could have sat there for the rest of his life and kept beating up on himself but he DIDNT.

btw exercise is great for depression. It helps ME out alot.

I appreciate your advice. I've tried volunteering at an animal shelter before mostly because I love animals. That particular job is a lot of work and I sometimes just couldn't keep up with having to chase after animals running on the loose, cleaning up 8 or 9 different cages filled with so much crap and material the managers put in there, and kneeling down on the hard gravel when I'm picking up bird feathers. I'm currently working at Marshalls, I work in the backroom but none of the people I work with are close to my age.

They're either in their 40's or 50's. I'm almost about to be turning 21 soon and I'm still living with my parents. This is why it's embarassing for me to admit that to anyone. My life isn't very exciting to say the least. The only things that I am pretty involved in right now are music, games, and drawing. That's about it. There was one instance where I remember breaking down infront of a family member(literally bawling my eyes out) and they just laughed at me. I mean are you serious? I'm going through a crisis and all they can do is laugh at me? For crying? What the hell is so funny about someone being upset?

All I really want is for somebody to just sit down and listen to me. The real me. Not the fake me. I don't want someone laughing or yelling at me for being sad. I know my feelings don't mean anything to them, but to me it means everything. It's quite frustrating. I'm not trying to be funny at all, I swear. I feel that as soon as I ask someone for help, sooner or later, they won't be able to tolerate my emotions. It's what I've always feared. I would never tear others down just to build myself up. It would just be nice if someone could hold me or rub my back while I vent out my feelings. I rarely have that bond with anyone... maybe that's just wishful thinking. I don't know... I don't know what I'm saying now. I know I've got my whole life ahead of me, but it seems more like a long road to hell.

I also figured that it probably wouldn't even mattered if I started making friends now. As other people around me have said, when you grow older, making friends becomes a lot harder. Guess I'll just stick to making threads on this site in the meantime.

Don't be afraid to talk to people on here. You might find a couple of people living not too far from where you live. And even if your previous experience with volunteering didn't go so well, there's plenty of other things you can do. Also, try to find hobbies you can practice outdoors (biking, jogging, walking your own dog, photography). There's probably places where people gather to go biking and whatnot, or Facebook groups dedicated to photography and other hobbies in your area.

Not necessarily, I have more friends now I am older than when I was young.

I like this. People seem to think age has anything to do with why their life isn't as (fill in the blank) as they want it to be. Age doesn't hold people back, but other things certainly do.

Also, OP, just post the wall of text. People will read it; downloading an mp3 and wading through it isn't really ideal for a lot of us who like to backtrack / reread passages.
