I've been on the edge of the 'abyss' so many times I've lost count.

One main thing stops me from ending it all. The FACT that nothing ever stays the same.
Life can change dramatically from one day to the next. I know this due to experience.

Along with this life CAN.. at times, throw us something smaller to make us genuinely smile, laugh, feel at one with inner peace or with nature.

The being at peace with nature is a big one for me. I love walking through a forest alone, a mountain path or along a beach. It's something that gives me a real connection with my place on the earth for the short time I'm here.

As hard as it is, and I'd be the last one to judge for anyone 'opting out', I advise against it.

When you're dead, your dead. Nothing will happen then. Death is permanent.

At least when you're alive you give life a chance to make you smile once in a while.

I don't think he/she would post here if he/she were actually planning to do it. Hope they didn't.

When you have friends, lucrative income, and loved ones I am sure it is solved. The problem is that too many are afraid of breaking that barrier.
