Pish-posh. :) The third one in the series is the best so far. I do hope a fourth one is made that even expands on that one, too.

There never should have been a second one, let alone a third. I fear for humanity if there is a fourth :p. The first two sucked big time, I can't imagine the third one would be good. Even if it is the best of the three; that really isn't hard to do or isn't saying that much haha.

In my MOS school we were shown a video as an example of why being thourough and checking people was important.. Was an unedited/ censored video of a guy blowing his head off with a M1911.. Detailed video too and very much real footage.. It has stayed with me to this day..

I have seen this video. Well, I have seen one where the cops took the guy into the interview/interrogation room and he takes a sip of water, and then another sip of water and then shoots himself in the head. Is that the same video? Well there weren't a lot of details, so it probably was something different. But that video was pretty haunting. The thing that bothered me the most about it was the sip of water he took right before he did it. It was like, he took a drink of water, took a deep breath and then did it. I keep imagining what was going through his head right at that moment. I am not sure if that video was real though, people in my class said it was fake. I hope it was fake.

That reminds me that I also saw a video of a police chase and they were chasing the guy around the house. It was night time and the heat vision camera was on. You see the guy run behind the house and then the blast of him shooting himself in the head, then the body dropping.

I saw the videos in my criminology/criminal justice classes. The thing was, people wanted to watch them more than once. They said, again again! Like, what is wrong with people?

Personally, I think they got better as they went, but that's personal opinion and you obviously don't agree, which is cool. I hope for the downfall of humanity and a fourth movie. ::p:

It would have to be Begotten by E. Elias Merhige. A b&w movie

It's just... extremely disturbing. Half of the movie you see this one guy flapping about in pain and suffering.. I actually love the movie because it's surreal and it stuck to me .. but I feel nauseous every time I watch it.

A recent movie that came out called Insidious scared me a few times. It kept me right on the edge of my seat. One of the scariest movies I've watched in a long time.

It's weird but Insidious gives me sleep paralysis every time I watch it. I mean every time.. so I avoid watching the movie ever again

"It has been reported that some victims of torture, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not wake up. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren’t being tortured. The only way that they realized they needed to wake up was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to wake up. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP. "

Creepy Hide and Seek - Hitori kakurenbo: Gekijô-ban (2009) - IMDb
Kairo (Pulse) - Pulse (2001) - IMDb

Now if you're looking for a good and scary Asian horror, those should be your first stop. Just don't blame me if you have nightmares.

Yeah, the original One Missed Call freaked me out :D haha. The remake wasn't as scary, same with the Ring.

The movie Snowtown.

It's been on PAY TV, I've had to turn it off after 5 minutes. Very disturbing.

I did watch Wolf Creek at the movies. It was similarly disturbing.

^ nice . . .

scariest movies in no order:

Ring (Japanese) because well, realistically speaking its semi possible... i believe in the power of thoughts... and psychic abilities... ok maybe not that possible... but it was a good one and one of the first popular jap. horror movies that got famous. The sci-fi was 'believable' to me.

Mothman prophecies: This one was scary... Not ghost/monster, but unknown mysterious... Alien? AND based on a true story even freakier... damn

AmityVille/ Emily Rose: Well exorcism is real.... So another true story... true stories are the scariest

I watched Stephen King's It for the first time when I was about 11 years old. I seriously would not shower for weeks at a time, and when I did I was absolutely terrified. I was scared of the bathroom for a very long time.

As an adult, I think the scariest movie I've seen is 28 Days Later. For some reason it really had an effect on me.

I totally agree with you Marie, IT terrified me as a child. I was scared of the shower and the bathroom for a long, looooong time. I would say years and years. I could still take showers but I would be scared while in there.

That also reminds me of another move I saw as a kid. I can't remember the name of it... maybe The Candyman? Or something. He would come out of the drains in the bathroom stalls. I can't remember much but I remember that and still to this day I check the drains when I use the public bathrooms. If they are big I get a bit nervous. Well of course they aren't like they used to be, and they aren't really "drains", but yeah.
