Salsa Dancer looking for foot sweat help!

Hey all!

What has been the most effective solution you've tried to eliminate foot sweat?

I'm a 26 y/o female and have been suffering from HH in my hands and feet all my life. I've usually dealt with the foot situation by always wearing socks and never open shoes - aside from birkinstocks which I've started wearing in the past year, but I have no idea how to deal with my current issue.

About a year ago I started salsa dancing. I was obviously worried about the open sandals that I would be required to wear while dancing - and rightfully so.

Dancing in these sandal heels is SO uncomfortable because of my sweaty feet. It's already hard for me to feel stable and secure in heels, but the fact that my feet are so wet and slippery all the time, make it exponentially more difficult.

My shoes also look like they've gone through hell and back. I'm already on my second pair - which started looking and smelling disastrous after only a month of use.

My only other option would be to buy some dance sneakers or jazz shoes and dance in them (with socks) instead of actual salsa shoes - but I really don't want to have to do that. I just want to be able to wear regular salsa shoes like all the other girls :(

Any solutions you guys can recommend for me to dry?

Thanks ahead

I have had hyperhidrosis for about four years now it has been difficult to walk around in public. I loved going to the beach and relaxing, but now all I worry about is if I'm sweating and making a fool of myself. If you are having a problem with sweating though your feet then I think you look into other creative ways to helping with your excessive sweating. I used Certain Dri for my body and I apply it once for 72 hours of protection. There is a little secret though that I do that then to keep the product working better. I apply Certain Dri on my feet and hands, I make sure that they are dry and not sweating already, and then dry it with a hairdryer that way I know that the product has been soaked into my skin. I then put my socks on and usually have about 12 hours before I start sweating though the product. again, not medical advice about how to fix the problem, but though my experience with hand and feet hyperhidrosis, this concept works. You can also try it for yourself if you want. Go to Certain Dri's website and check out consumer samples at the top, they will mail you some Certain Dri to try for free! I hope you get back to dancing soon!

I would suggest trying ionto. There are many posts about home made devices as well as the super expensive medical devices such as Hidrex. I use ionto for severe hyperhidrosis and it has helped me for years.
