Does anyone get this? It is a big problem for me as I can't function properly at all in the morning, my anxiety goes into overdrive (I get the shakes, mumble a lot) then I don't tend to feel 'normal' until late afternoon.. I don't really know what is causing this or how to get rid of it. Maybe it is a medical condition? Pls help if you can

hi
do you eat in the morning? this may sound stupid but low blood sugar can contribute to some of the symptoms you're describing

I hate mornings, but not for the same reasons. I just can't stand the sudden, depressing realisation upon awakening that I'm still me and this is still my life. :(

this morning I was like mumbling to myself 'please god I don't want to do this again, just let me skip work, sleep in noo don't make me get up'. Of course I did end up getting up and going to work.

Yeah, I had jellylegs at 9am every morning when I was in high school. It would come upon me like a wave you know like when you're about to yawn? But I wouldn't have much in the way of breakfast, so the blood sugar theory could be correct.

early morning anxiety

I have the morning shakes and anxiety and I think I know why it gradually improves by mid to late afternoon- the day is coming to an end and all of the real or perceived threats and tension filled moments have passed. In the morning it's all in front of you-that's my theory anyhow.

Maybe I'm mad but I like the mornings, Im at my most optimistic, I'm like yeh, today I'm gonna do stuff....then but nightfall i'm usually p*ssed cause i didnt quite manage the goal i set myself. Though i do manage my set goals more than not these days.

I find that after being with people at work for hours, I certainly feel more 'immune' to social phobia when I'm walking home in the afternoon.

The thing I find the worst is the thought of having to go to work and be around people when I get up in the morning.
