I really enjoy reading but not really sure what's out there haha

Iv read
harry potter series
Twilight saga
Holes
Hobbit

Of which I have really enjoyed, tried reading LOTRs but had a hard time consentrating on them.

So what are some good book, kinda like the ones I mentioned. I really like series or books that take a while to get threw, as it makes the fun last

Thanks

Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan and Brian Sanderson. Currently over 11,000 pages.

A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. HBO's Game of Thrones series is based on this.

The Belgariad and The Malloreon by David Eddings. The only characters I ever missed after finishing the series.

If you're into high fantasy like LotR, but want a more reader-friendly version, there have been plenty of Dungeons & Dragons series written. The Dragonlance Chronicles Trilogy by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman and the many series by R. A. Salvatore come to mind.

Some other authors to look into: Terry Goodkind, Terry Brooks, Raymond E. Feist.

These are just ones I from the top of my head. There are plenty of other users who read fantasy, and I really wish I could get a hold of the list of books my brother's checked out of the library over the years. But I'm sure you'll get plenty of recommendations.

Happy hunting. :D

Edit: Oh, and my brother has been recently enjoying The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher.

Well I will go with the obvious for me and totally recommend the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series by Douglas Adams.

Well, currently I've been reading Eragon, part of the Inheritance Cycle. It's really good, so I definitely plan on reading them all (4th book comes out this Nov.! :)).

Philip Pullman's His Darkest Materials trilogy is excellent. Probably one of the best trilogies I've ever read. :)

Chronicles of Narnia is good, even though it's more of a children's series.

Same with Percy Jackson & the Olympians by Rick Riordan

The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons by Dan Brown

The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini

Those are just some off the top of my head. I'll probably come back with another post or two sometime. ::p:

not actually Fiona Apple
Anything by Michael Crichton, I've read Timeline and Airframe and both are very good. (He also wrote Jurassic Park and started the series ER)

House of Leaves, it isn't a series but it'll take you a while.
It is brilliant, every word.

Uhm, I love Harry Potter as well, err.... I like the Secret series, by Pseudonymous Bosch.
They are for kids, but I loved it ^^

Right now, I'm enjoying the Codex Alera series by Jim Butcher and the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. I think those could be some good books for you to read.

I second the A Song of Ice and Fire series. Really enjoyable books that will keep you yearning for more. I know I am. Really long wait for The Winds of Winter.
