They say it could be worse than the 1974 floods and I well remember how bad they were.

I saw some footage of it this morning at the gym. It is horrifying. Those poor people!!

Were the family of top the car rescued? Those images I find hard to get out of my mind.

I agree Phocas, they need to consider the impact on those viewing these images particularly those of friend and family who may see them.

I am one of the lucky ones too. We don't expect to get any of the flooding where I live either. Very fortunate!
I totally agree that the media should let people know if that family stuck on top of the floating car were rescued.:: If you show distressing footage, you should follow it up.

Its sad to see all those people uprooted and specialy those who have lost family or friends.

I could not start to imagine what they are going through. Can't imagine what the the the social phobics among them are going through.

I hope nobody here is affected by the floods.
