1. Did you go to Prom?

2. If YES was it with friends or with a date?

3. Did you enjoy yourself?

4. If NO do you regret not going?

5. Why or why not?

1. Did you go to Prom?
yes, i didn't want to go because i knew it'd be lame and i hated my school, but my boyfriend wanted to so we went...

2. If YES was it with friends or with a date?
with my boyfriend at the time and our group of friends..

3. Did you enjoy yourself?
nah.. i guess it was fun at the time, but it wasn't worth all the getting ready, pictures, fake smiling at people i didn't like, etc etc.. lol
i don't think we even stayed very long.. most people just wanted to go get drunk at the after party, which i didn't stay very long at that either, lol.. maybe i would have had a better time if my boyfriend hadn't been such a moron, lol

Didn't go, don't regret it. Dances aren't my kind of thing. I don't like wearing dresses and I wouldn't have had anyone to go with in a million years. All my friends went as a group and seemed to have fun.

I went to 'after-prom,' which is basically just fun and games at the school. Well, it was games, but not much fun. I was falling asleep around 3am.

I did win an electronic dartboard, though. So it wasn't all bad. :)

the whole prom thing seems to be massive in america but so much here in the UK although I could be wrong as I'm old. I'm so glad I didn't have to get a date and go to the prom when I was a teenager

No, because I'm from the UK and we don't have them here. At least we didn't when I was at school. I probably wouldn't have gone anyway though.

1. Did you go to Prom? Never

2. If NO do you regret not going? Nope

3. Why or why not? Proms are for shallow minded people, and I loathe these type of people.

First time no date and father got laid off right before it happened Bethlehem steel closed down and I needed to work an extra job. Then isg opened for my senior year didn't go again no date. So I worked again and it really wasn't that great from what I heard really lame. The tickets were like 250 dollars so my month of wages and no date I said I'll work picked up the entire series of twisted metal that night instead after I got off work. No regets personally i like thoses days I worked I was the only person besides the older people at the time

I did not go to prom, and don't regret it at the moment. Maybe in my 40's I'll look back a sigh, but hey, what are the odds of me making it to 40 anyways ::p:. I didn't go because I couldn't imagine myself liking it. Dancing? no. Talking? Not in that setting. Eating? Not there. (Plus I'm cheap. $180+? No thank you.)

I did attend a number (not all) of the senior activities (baccalaureate, senior trip) my senior year, mind you I was doing a lot better then. I think even though I didn't fully enjoy myself I would have regretted not going to those. I think the more important these events are to a person the more important the high school "life" was to them, especially in the social sense. If High school were the best 4 (5? ::p:) years of your life prom is probably the greatest experience of your life. High school was all about grades and sports for me, so I remember track meets and specific academic experiences more fondly. (actually.the closest thing to prom for me was a track meet where I sat and talked *gasp* yes talked to a girl for a while at a track meet after she watched me throw. My fondest memory actually, as of right now.) Wow did I ramble, oops .

No I didn't go to Prom. I only regret it every once and awhile, because it's another experience that I didn't get. My thing about high school dances was that if I stayed home I felt pathetic and I would wonder if it would have been fun but then if I HAD gone I would be wishing I was home. So it's always been a lose-lose situation for me.
Plus I never had a date.

My school never did 'prom'.
As I understand... most Canadian schools don't.
There are graduation dinners and sometimes a low profile dance afterward-- but it's not made up to be like Prom where you hire a limo and wear an expensive dress that you'll only wear once or lose your virginity to your prom date. haha

So, no- I didn't go to prom because we didn't have a prom.
I did go to my graduation and shortly after, I had to go to work for the night-- so I didn't go to a party or anything.

Do I regret not going?
No.

Why?
I have plenty of memories of highschool- my boyfriend didn't like dances, I didn't like parties, so we wouldn't have gone anyway--- and everyone who went to the graduation dinner ended up getting food poisoning.
XD So I was fortunate to not have gone!

My high school years sucked......Not only did I not go to prom, but I didn't go to any dance. Why? Well, because I had SA, thus, I only had a few friends and I didn't know any girls that I could ask to go....but I don't regret it. What I more regret is just having that SA all throughout high school because if I didn't have it then I'm sure not only would I have gone to prom but I would have enjoyed many other high school experiences. Oh well though, high school is only high school. No big deal, there's plenty of years ahead of me. =)

1. Did you go to Prom?

Yep. I am also planning on going to the senior prom next year, no matter what.

2. If YES was it with friends or with a date?

I was with my "friends".

3. Did you enjoy yourself?

Some parts of it were fun, most were not. I ended up being alone, though, wishing I could disappear whilst sitting at a table with two of my "friends" sticking their tongues down at each other's throats. In retrospect, I probably should have transferred somewhere else... But I was too busy moping and feeling sorry for myself. So. Not gonna make that same mistake again next year.

We have "formals" instead of "proms", although there are probably many similarities.

I didn't go to the formal, and have mixed feelings about whether I should have gone or not. Most people went, which meant that I was probably even more of an outcast after it. Having to listen to people talking afterwards about it, without knowing what they were talking about was probably the biggest issue. At the same time, I may not have enjoyed myself anyway, so I could have regretted going afterwards.

I went to prom with a girl that i had never met until the night of, got drunk as hell, dont remember most of it and stayed up until 5 or six AM drinking by myself. It was not memorable at all and dont beat yourself up if you dont go. I remember enjoying it because I was surrounded by fellow rejects that i considered good friends but it was like any other night for me. The people that think it is the most memorable night of their high school career in my experience are the ones that never leave highschool even after they graduate. That is to say that their world revolves around what is the hot gossip about people they went to high school with. When I was in school they were known as the "popular" kids. The ones that never move on or meet new people and are always reminiscing about the glory days.

I am guessing that if you are like I was in High School with social phobia and such you are not one of those people and prom really isnt a big deal. People that say prom is the most memorable experience of their lives are stuck in the past in my opinion and never truly enjoy life because "high school was the best time of their lives". I am sorry if i offend any of you, it isnt my intention but if that is the case then what would be the point in living after you graduate?

1. Did you go to Prom?
Not going.

2. If YES was it with friends or with a date?
See above

3. Did you enjoy yourself?
I'd be miserable and shy and probably be the lonely corner-guy

4. If NO do you regret not going?
Hell no.

5. Why or why not?
Because I am not a social butterfly like everyone else. I am abnormal.

Nope, I didn't go to prom. A few people in highschool, who all knew that I had severe anxiety issues (it's kind of obvious sometimes...) actually asked me that question. I told them that I wouldn't be able to enjoy it, which is completly accurate. panic panic panic panic panic panic panic panic. avoid avoid avoid avoid avoid. ruminate ruminate ruminate ruminate ruminate. sudoku sudoku sudkoku sudoku sudoku sudoku. Philosophy philosophy. Those were my thoughts durring high school.

Do I regret going? Certainly not. It would have been a horifying experiance, and I wouldn't have benified by such exposure at that time.

I went to military school in high school, so we had something called military ball, which was our prom. Everyone had to go because it was mandatory. In the three years I was there, I never had a date to the prom, even my senior year i was dateless.

My senior year was alright, I hung out with friends, drank a little bit and shot the breeze as they say.

The other 2 years it was just me sitting there by myself most of the time, depressed and bored out of my mind.
